The receptionist black lady( Original from Ghana) was exceptionally good customer service. She was very patient. She helped with the language barrier and provided vital information.

Rooms are not cleaned. Asked the cleaner to clean and changed the sheets. She was very rude

Welcoming and helpful staff (Jamila). Safe storage for our e-bikes. Superb room that was very comfortable and quiet. Everything provided for an excellent nights sleep. Thank you so much.

Location was good

We booked this hotel especially because it had air conditioning so we paid a bit extra for that which we didnt mind. On arrival the receptionist advised the room didnt have air conditioning as it wasn't working properly. As a gesture they advised we wouldn't have to pay for breakfast or the local tax to compensate. However on 42 degree heat that weekend we didnt really care for eating breakfast we just really wanted air con which is what we needed. We went to the room which was big enough but was sooo hot! Decided to go down to reception and ask if they had a fan which they did and brought it to our room but this didn't do anything really it was just moving hot air around the room. Myself and mum went to have a cold shower to cool down and had to go for a walk as we could hardly breath in there. Mercury Hotels normally have a good reputation and I have stayed at others in Europe however truly disappointed. Besides the air con, the toilet was not to standard had a big brown mark down it like it was vert dirty but must be limescale as i tried to clean it and it wouldn't come off but it should be removed! The shower head was alsl leaking and the carpets had very big stains. I truly could not comprehend where we were staying especially for the price we paid per night! I'm sorry I couldn't give a good review but our stay was not pleasant at all.
