Location, friendly staff and nice rooms and facilities.

Nothing to complain about.

The location is perfect for us. The car park is simple and convenient. The rooms are a reasonable size for the money. Decent shower and a nice breakfast. If you have to stay in derby then I would recommend the Leonardo.

Our room wasn't ready when we arrived at 4pm which was a bit disappointing.

The hotel was Amazing, location worked well for me, stayed a week, will definitely be back during the summer, fantastic staff 😀

The staff in the bar were great. Guilherme, Will and Raf took care of my partner and I for an evening meal, and lattes and pints over the next two days. The hotel was busy with really diverse groups and they couldn’t have been kinder and more welcoming. Well done, I have worked in the service industry at Christmas and it’s hard work. Our rooms 611 and 612 were clean, thank you chambermaids!

Used gym, it was a bit on the small side but did what I needed

Having stayed before a few times I really do love it there the staff especially at breakfast were very polite and friendly great customer service the man on reception was especially helpful when my key didn’t work so was a very lovely stay

The hotel is beautiful and the staff are very helpful and friendly. We stay quite often as we love nights out in Derby, and it is only a few minutes' walk into the town.

I loved the location, the hotel, bar, executive room and the food! Fantastic location in Derby town centre. The staff here were helpful, kind and polite! I loved how friendly they were and their professionalism was spectacular! Exceptional! I really enjoyed the delicious bar food during my stay! The breakfast was perfect too! The heating in the room kept switching back to air conditioning (cooling) and it got very cold quickly during my stay as the weather was bitter cold the weekend I stayed.

The reception area was impressive and the warm welcome at check in was great, breakfast was really nice and so were the staff who worked that shift

The room was in need of some TLC a complete contrast to what you see in public areas. My bathroom had a strong musty smell and the bed was sunken in the middle although it was comfortable. There was water damage to the desk and a large chip on the bedside table. I was a little disappointed with my room.

Location in city centre excellent. Staff all very nice.

Next to very busy ring road so traffic noise is constant. Cant drive right up to entrance and no access directly to hotel from underground car park - issue for less mobile guests and if raining on arrival.

Good place to stay for shopping and Vaillant (shhh) Staff friendly and approachable, 3rd stay and preferred choice. Always a warm welcome even arriving soaking wet.car park about 3-5 min walk depending on luggage

Need bigger signs to alert guests not to set the fire alarms off but that’s being picky after ‘evacuating’ (and that means everyone!) At 1am but the staff managed the ‘moaners’ very well! Otherwise nothing!

liked the fact you had to use your room key to use the lift from the ground floor. The reception desk staff were lovely and friendly The breakfast team very accomodating. Great choice for breakfast.

The priices in the bar area are prohibitively excessive.

No fridge in room. Paid for a room that had a sofa bed but the room that was given there was only one double bed. Did not state beforehand this would be changed

We like the location & availability of car parking on site. A member of staff not normally on reception checked us out on the morning of 3rd November & she was delightful. Chatty, smiley & friendly. As she was so nice, I decided not to mention the issues we'd had & then she surprised us by saying she'd covered the car parking fees for us, which redeemed the situation somewhat. A very kind gesture. Sadly I forgot to ask her name.

We booked a standard double room but were allocated an accessible room without being asked if that was okay or having it explained upon checking in. We unpacked when we got to the room & only discovered the bathroom was accessible after unpacking. We did query why we were given an accessible room at reception & were told it was busy & they allocated what was available. We had arrived just after 3pm, which is the regular check-in time, so I feel being unprepared points to disorganisation at the hotel. The explanation we were given was unsatisfactory & your staff member failed to ask if everything was all right or to offer any help. It only became clear when using the bathroom how awkward it was for us as two able-bodied males: we had to crouch under the shower to wet our heads as the shower head & height pole were set at the highest bar which was still shoulder height for us. We had to bend at the sink which was probably set low for wheelchair users, but it was very uncomfortable to bend like that to wet shave. There was also no hot water at the sink & the glass shelf over it meant I was unable to sluice my face. All in all a most unsatisfactory experience. Plus, the body wash was nearly empty,so it was a good job we had our own. There was just 2 tea bags in the complimentary refreshments tray, so because we had a cup of tea after unpacking (this is when we realised it was a disabled-friendly room) we had no cuppa first thing the following morning. The bed was uncomfortable as we kept rolling into the middle! One of the light switches on the desk lamp was difficult to set as it switched on but flicked off.

Rooms were clean. Reception staff were great when an error had been made with the booking. Extremely accommodating.

Some aspects of the room were starting to look like they need a little TLC

The room was so clean and made up beautifully. The shower is to die for. The breakfast was wonderful. So many options to choose from. There was even a separate toaster, away from all baked goods, for those who are gluten intolerant. All of the Staff were exceptionally helpful. From a cleaner who held my door open for me, to the breakfast cleaning staff.

There was only 1 tiny niggle and that was the coffee sachets. I only had 1 that was not decaffeinated.

Comfy bed . My request was granted for a lower floor and a bath . Breakfast was tasty

Very strange to see a sock on my window sill especially as they don't unlock to open . The air conditioning controller is very bright when lit up and the room is dark and kept me awake . The television remote control is very confusing to use

It was clean and a good location friendly staff

Aircon needs cleaning triggered my allergies which caused me a sinus infection and sore throat. Really something that should be done more regularl

Great value for money

The rooms were really comfortable and our daughters room was selected for the surprise gift. The staff were friendly, helpful and the breakfasts were great.

Limited parking was my only disappointment.

Stayed for a weekend with a friend. The room was clean and tidy, with a comfortable bed and a lovely view of the town centre. Location was great—just a short walk to everything. A buffet breakfast was included and had everything we liked. Overall, good value for money and a really nice stay.

Check in was a joke arrived at 10pm tobe told they weren't sure that they had a room left, room when allocated was grubby, told no food available but a bloody snack station was in the hotel, parking is a joke and staff did not help

Staff were nice and friendly. Only gripe was there was no heating working in the room and had to ask for an extra quilt 5 hours later, I still had to ask for it after I’d been out and then one was came and the room was very cold - so we was brought a heater to the room then.
