Jardine Apartment @ Cairn Dhu House

Spacious, well-appointed apartment in an elegant turn-of-the-century (1906) house - we felt we'd home-swapped with someone (someone with taste!) rather than it being a holiday rental. On a main road but the bedroom at the back was nice and quiet so, with a very comfortable bed, we had a good night's sleep. Large bathroom with bath plus shower. 10 minutes walk to the centre of town, 15 to the ferry terminal, but under 5 mins to the gorgeous castle grounds; 5 mins to a very large Co-Op. We'd definitely stay again - it was a perfect base for Lewis and Harris at the end of our 2-week trip through the stunning Outer Hebrides.

Nothing could have been better -- Nigel was very prompt in answering any questions.

Garden area was disappointing it was unloved and un cared for. Weather was lovely so it would have been nice to sit outside with a drink after a day exploring.

The location was great. Close to the centre. The apartment was fantastic, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The kitchen was fully equipped and the whole place was spotless. Also great to have parking available.

The property was well located and easy to access.

The instructions folder had not been updated with the new wi-fi information, making it a difficult start to our stay. The kitchen was darker than in the photos, and the bed rather low and squishy. The bathroom towel rail could not be switched on, but there was a very useful tumble dryer.
