It was well situated for the town centre. Comfortable beds. Easy on street parking nearby (a couple of streets away).

No tea towels

Nice little flat in Stornoway, ideal for a short weekend stay. The owner had mentioned it might be a bit small for two larger dogs, and in hindsight I agree—as the bedroom isn’t accessible for them. That said, we managed fine for a couple of nights. The location is great, with easy access to a nearby park that offers lovely walks. Parking was straightforward just around the corner. Impressively, the fish and chip shop next door is barely noticeable in terms of smell. Do note there are two sets of stairs—one up to the apartment and another to the bedroom. The kitchen is well equipped (maybe a new frying pan would be good) , and we especially appreciated having a freezer.

The only downsides were the lack of a proper brush or hoover (just a hand brush and dustpan), and the extractor fan wasn’t working (which I noticed had been mentioned before) , which made cooking a bit challenging as there was no additional light or ventilation.

Location was perfect for spending a weekend in Stornoway
