Though it was a lovely stay, I don’t think we would stay again because of the parking costs

I love history of old buildings, so it was nice to stay in one.

When booking to stay at The Bonham it stated that they were parking at the hotel, no mention of extra payment to park there, we stay for 3 nights and were charged £20 a day.

Scottish luxury!

We held a two-day meeting at the Bonham and it was seamless. Staff were excellent and super accommodating. The rooms were lovely and the food was great. It was a real luxury experience. I can't not mention that the hotel smells fantastic!

The room was very good size and very elegant as well as the bathroom also the bed very comfortable

Finally I have found the perfect hotel for us in Edinburgh.

The room was so beautifully appointed, elegant and very comfortable, could not find fault with it. Breakfast was perfect, the whole atmosphere of the place was so perfect for us, not stuffy but beautiful. Loved the library.

Beautiful hotel!

The propert is very beautiful. We visited over Christmas and the decorations in the bar and restaurant were divine. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms good value for money.

There was an older staff member who was very rude. He was abrupt and grumpy when he brought the room service and he also questioned me needing more milk for my coffee in the lounge. Not necessary! Otherwise the stay was lovely.

Fabulous. Quiet location in a bustling city. Walking distance to the city centre and Stockbridge. Room very comfortable and warm. Extra bed was very comfortable for my 16 year old son. Warm, efficient and friendly staff.

It was fantastic. Our stay was just so nice. Staff super friendly and helpful. Carl was brilliant with us. Credit to your team! Food was excellent. Junior suite was fab with all the lovely extras like shortbread and chocs!

Well located and posh!

Beautifully appointed hotel, with lush decor. The room was very posh, with nice amenities, including coffee and tea, and of course, shortbread! The hotel bar was great, with attentive and helpful wait staff. All staff were wonderful and helpful. The only little negative was that our rooms were on the lower level, so we could hear people wheeling suitcases across the marble floor in and out of the lobby above, and could hear hotel staff in and out of the freight elevator. Not anyone's fault, just something to be aware of when you book. Otherwise, a very excellent stay!

Location. Cleanliness. Lovely cosy room. A beautifully maintained period property.

I always think the staff lack warmth. Perhaps a socket nearer the mirror for drying hair. I did say this on checkout and they said they’d hope to resolve this issue.

This was our second stay at this property and was as good as the first visit.

A great building with plenty of charm and character. All members of staff we met over our stay were very courteous and polite. A special mention must go to the ladies at breakfast who were very helpful and considerate

Quiet oasis and wonderful

What a jewel of a hotel! Beautiful, wonderful staff, restaurant was exceptional, nice quiet location. If our travels bring us back to Edinburgh, we will stay here again in a heartbeat!

the staff and the public rooms were wonderful. We loved our bedroom the style and comfort. The decor was stunning and appreciated the old world look to the room.

Two issues in the room (202) were that the heat was difficult to regulate and the bathroom heated towel rack was extremely dirty and dusty which was a big yuck. There was limited light over the sink in the bathroom.

Room cleanliness. Hairs in the shower. Discarded contact lenses behind the towel rail. Dirty towel. All on our arrival in the bathroom. Not good enough. Room service was not of a decent standard for what professes to be a 5 star hotel.

Comfortable hotel on the outskirts of Edinburghs city centre.

The property was well equipped and the staff friendly.

We had a dirty sock from the previous guests (I assume) left in our room, so not as clean as I would expect.

Small room, clean

Hospitable staff and accommodating!

Reception floor was wet, told staff and they stood staring at floor. I was in my wedding dress and didn't want to drag this over the wet floor. It wasn't dried and I had to carry dress over this - I was also in heels - slip hazard.
