The room seemed recently decorated and was well kept. The bed was comfortable plus the bedding and towels were really soft. Lots of facilities in the room. Breakfast was nice with lots of choice. The shower was amazing - felt like I was under a waterfall!
There wasn't anything substantive that I didn't like. If I'm being really picky then overlooking the bus station isn't ideal (though the drivers are good at turning engines off and they aren't that frequent anyway). There's also a clock tower chiming every hour. However, neither of these things stopped me from getting the best night of sleep of my whole trip.

Great friendly staff, central location and a really good breakfast.
Old building that needs upgrading, which is typical of many older hotels like this.
However many things only needed 30 minutes of a handy man's time to greatly improve the quality of the stay.
Door lock faulty, toilet seat loose, bathroom flooring loose, had basin tap leaking...all the things that impact your stay but could be remedied easily.
Come on owners, spend some time to get the rooms sorted, the decor and fittings are ok, just things need to work.
Also the bar area is out of the 70s, would not drink there by choice.

Breakfast was good. Not a lot of space in the bedroom, not helped by the huge bed. Bathroom was tiny. Staff were very friendly.
