We were a little disappointed at being in the annexe across from the main hotel but although a little dated, the room was clean, comfortable and good value for money for a triple single room. We had our evening meal at the hotel which was really good - service was friendly, few of the drinks (beers) we ordered weren't in stock but wasn't a problem and food was tasty. Breakfast (we had the veggie option) was one of the loveliest we'd all had in a while, definitely 10 out of 10!

The room was a bit dated but was fine for what we needed.

The hotel is situated in a quiet little village, which was lovely, I entered the building to be greeted by the most loveliest of lady's called Mandy, she was smiling and chatty and was really helpful, nothing was too much trouble, it was a little quiet in the bar in the evening but what do you expect on a Monday evening, breakfast was at 8am and was a unlimited continental breakfast and a full English breakfast was cooked for you, food was really tasty, the building itself is a very old establishment and I wish I'd been there longer to find out more information about it, the room was in a building apart from the hotel, which I'm assuming was once part of a stable block, it was clean and tidy and had all the amenities you needed, PLUS it had a FULL sized kettle and a BATH! That's me sold! Lovely host, beautiful building, helpful staff

Because the building is very very old the water pressure is a little hit and miss, but, it's something you've got to expect, if there was one thing I would have to say about, it would be perhaps it's time for a new mattress ( in room 24 anyway, can't speak for the others ) but that would be me having to pick at something

The barman and check-in staff were very friendly and welcoming. The place looks nice from the outside with the flowers.

Several guests were staying for an ultramarathon, and the staff proactively offered us a packed breakfast since we would be checking out before the regular service. It seemed like a great, helpful touch—except they completely failed to provide them. I checked twice at the pickup spot, but nothing was there. Making an empty promise like this is incredibly frustrating, especially when it leaves you with no time to make alternative arrangements. Additionally, my room was located outside the main building where there was zero Wi-Fi or phone signal. If the hotel advertises Wi-Fi, they really need to install boosters to ensure coverage extends to these rooms. Finally, communication at check-in was lacking. No one mentioned that the side door is locked overnight, which was quite alarming when trying to get back in without a main entrance key. Crucial details like this—along with the checkout process and Wi-Fi codes—should always be provided when guests arrive.
