Comfortable stay with drawbacks

The location is ideal. The breakfast was good. We liked the triple room setup that had the single bed in a spare room, which is good for sleeping a child. It was quite spacious (except the en suite) and the bay window was cosy. The room was very warm. I can't really speak to the quality of the mattresses but I personally slept comfortably.

The en suite was tiny and the sink was very difficult to use. The general age and condition of both room and en suite was a little poor. Quite a lot of strange mechanical noises in the early mornings. No idea what they were but as a light sleeper I needed white noise.

Great weekend at The Post House

We had an excellent weekend, the staff were very friendly. The rooms were immaculate, and the breakfast was cooked to perfection. The bar was reasonably priced, and I really enjoyed the drinks offer between 5pm & 8pm. We enjoyed it so much we stayed an extra night.

When I booked 2 adults in a room I got there and booking.com had messed up my booking. I was in a single bed room, luckily the helpful staff managed to get me a double bed room otherwise we'd have had to cancel and go elsewhere. Not good on your part but good the hotel went out their way.

I sneaked a little 2night break with my granddaughter. We were greeted with a lovely welcome from the manager John. This place is a little gem. Staff,atmosphere, food ,rooms it's a really lovely family feel place. The manager really puts a lot of effort to make everything perfect for every guest. We will certainly be making a second visit in the summer. 👌

Not good

We waited 20 minutes to check in there was 1 girl running a busy bar and the hotel. Then we got a fob for the front door that didn’t work and we locked outside the hotel for an hour we had to throw stones at another guests window to beg him to let us in

Enjoyable and good value.

The location is almost perfect. Llewelyn Avenue is centrally located, just off Mostyn Street. Parking is a bit of a lottery, however we were extremely lucky and were able to find a spot just outside the property. First impressions are that the Post House is a welcoming place, and this is backed up by the staff, who are very friendly and helpful. Our room was adequate and clean, the bed was comfortable. The full Welsh breakfast was absolutely delicious. Cooked exactly as we requested.

Our room was too warm, and unfortunately there was no way of individually controlling the radiator. However, after asking to have the heat turned down, by our second night there was an improvement.

Good to be back

The breakfast is cooked individually and is very good but it would be nice to have fresh fruit eg grapefruit. I usually have a single room and that is excellent value but I was too late this time so it cost me a bit more than I would have liked having to pay for a double room. Can’t fault the staff or the location.

Great location, as we were meeting family at the pier, even better breakfast

The breakfast was excellent all cooked fresh and piping hot, couldn’t fault a thing with the breakfast, and the lady at reception when we checked in was extremely helpful.

The light in the bathroom didn’t work, and there was a slight smell maybe from the drains coming from the bathroom occasionally.

Great little find!

Great staff, great little bar with outdoor seating, fair prices too. Excellent breakfast, room was perfect for our needs, and clean. Massive bed! Close to all amenities and free parking on the street, just have to drop lucky finding a space, will definitely go back, well done to all the staff. 😃
