The night before the ferry

Warm, welcoming staff. Well decorated room.Wonderful view. Tea/coffee making facility. Excellent dinner and breakfast. 8

Room (8) very small, though perfectly formed and immaculate! Unfortunately, the fan, presumably from the shower, kept going all night, keeping us awake. This was reported the following morning, to the staff and hopefully has been acted on.

Wonderful beachside location in funky hotel.

The location is superb. Right on the beach - and what a beach. The food in the restaurant was great - it is hard to find good salads in France. The staff were very friendly and the vibe was relaxed. The breakfasts were delicious.

If the hotel had a lounge we didn't find it. There wasn't room for an armchair in our bedroom so we struggled to find a space in which to relax - apart from the dining area. The bedroom, without sea view, was as advertised, but really too small for our needs. Better suited to younger couples.

Lovely boutique hotel, everything well presented. Fabulous breakfast.

Breakfast was outstanding, with top quality local produce. Room very comfortable and clean. We didn't eat at the restaurant but wished we had because it looked excellent.

Parking was difficult, there were no available spaces at the hotel and surrounding streets were very full. Fortunately we were able to walk with out bags when we found a space nearby.

A very enjoyable stay!

A very memorable stay at Les Charmettes. The view is exceptional, to be enjoyed at every meal. Breakfast was a treat, loved the fresh crepes topped with the local salted caramel sauce. I would also recommend the onsite restaurant also, the seafood is beautiful. There’s plenty of sea-based activities right outside your door. The staff were welcoming and helpful despite our poor French.

The kids menu is limited in the restaurant but there are plenty of local restaurants within a short walk, so it was not a big problem.

The setting (right on the beach, close enough to all the action, but far enough away from the madding crowd!), the staff (so helpful and friendly!), the boutique beach decor, the attached restaurant (delicious and such a nice setting)- everything was charming and delightful!

Well worth a stay.

Excellent sea view and balconies to the front rooms. Close to a small supermarket and pattiserie. Quite close to Intra Muros. An excellent independent restaurant to the front. Very popular to reflect it's quality.

Fantastic location, amazing to eat dinner listening to the sound of the waves on the shore. Lovely 25 min walk along the promenade into St Malo. Friendly cheerful staff with good English language who patiently let us speak French. Best prawns and mayo ever

A pleasant seaside night stop.

Nice building with varied and interesting guest spaces. Good position on the beach and in a good area for cafes and restaurants.

Our room in a back annex felt a bit pokey, in an eaves space with low ceiling and with a very small bathroom. Access up winding stairs felt a bit restrictive. Rather expensive for the accommodation we got.

Loved the place, location, staff and breakfasts.

The beach location was perfect for walks and sitting outside and enjoying a glass and watching people stroll by. The staff were all welcoming and kind. Breakfast with a sea view was an amazing assortment of boil your own eggs,various breads, croissants, pain au chocolat, and yogurt, fruit and cereals. We really appreciated the clean, tidy, well appropriated rooms with comfy beds. Sea view from our bed was perfect and a little balcony as well. Caroline was exceptionally helpful and kind, assisted us with drink and dining selections and helped us navigate Saint-Malo with our minimal French and her understanding of English. We loved the 25 minute walk to center Saint-Malo and close restaurants. I wish we had booked more days there!

Clean, comfortable, tranquil, well kept building by the sea. Tasteful decoration, tea making facilities, hot showers . Beautiful views. Good quality bedding.

A lot of Stairs difficult if you have a heavy case to take up that could be a problem. Take small overnight bag if staying over for ferry crossing next day. Breakfast cold only and not suitable for anyone with gluten and diary intolerance.

Beautiful place and location

The hotel was walking distance to old town on the beach promenade which was lovely. Restaurant downstairs with a great sea view. Location was perfect. Staff were amazing and accommodating.

Bed was uncomfortable. The shower room and toilet were tight. Was quite a walk from the city centre. But we're a little older! But this didn't stop our enjoyment of the hotel.
