The hotel feels like a home, it's super cosy and we had such a nice quiet time. The bedrooms were very comfortable and had a quirk to it (ours was a cool ship-like shower) . There are books everywhere for you to browse while you wait for your food and all the areas are comfortable. The spa was also super clean and pleasant. Last but not least, we ate at the property for 6 days in a row, breakfast, snack and dinner and lemme tell you - not only it did not disappoint once, but it kept surprising us with the most delicious (and healthy!) stuff. Absolutely amazing.
We really had a wonderful stay, but I would mention a few things that perhaps could do with some improvement/clarification for future guests. The staff was very friendly and helpful, but we had a few misunderstandings.
We didn't know where the shuttle pick-up place was, so we called and asked the receptionist, who directed us to the wrong place where we waited for half an hour. They later called the taxi and re-explained the location, so we did get back shortly, but a correct explantion would have saved the driver another journey.
This convenient and free of cost shuttle goes to the trainstation/slope every half hour in the morning, but we were told that we couldn't use that free service on our last journey to the train station, even though there was space. The receptionist said we had to book a pre-paid taxi for our departure to accommodate our time and have enough space for our luggage (only 1 suitcase that fit in the trunk anyway). We of course agreed and paid. However, we were ushered in a taxi with the rest of the guests in their ski gear waiting to go to the same destination for free, which felt a bit pointless and unfair, but anyway...
Lastly, my boyfriend is allergic to nuts and we kindly asked if they could put up some "nut free" labels next to the food, the same way they did for "gluten-free". They were very nice and accommodated that for about 2 days, after which they probably forgot/changed shifts, so we went back to asking the waiters several times during each meal if the food contains nuts, which was a little bit tiring. However, they always brought alternative dishes for him if needed and they were just as delicious.

The place is cozy, the staff is very kind. The breakfast is amazing. The afternoon fre soup and sweets - heavenly. Just a short walk to the Graukogel ski lift or to the center. Nice sauna with good refreshment. Perfects swing chairs on the terrace.
The "all you need is love" wall should be replaced, and the wooden fences on the balconies as well. It creates a creepy first impression. The saunas are crowded since one of them basically does not work. The stove looks broken although it heats a bit (50oC). Some bushes should be cut down to make a perfect window view from the finish sauna. Try to update maps with Google or local authorities, since Google maps does not even show the road to the hotel.

well designed with super comfy beds. In addition is the sauna area amazing and good & bar are excellent - loved everything about this hotel!

Very stylish, old-school hotel that has managed to keep a cool vibe. The staff was superb.

There is a lot to like about the Miramonte. The staff, from the receptionist to the bartender were all fantastic- their good moods contageous. The indoor and outdoor communal spaces were lovely and inviting. Superb breakfast was served, and the afternoon snacks and spa were an added bonus. The library and available design magazines were a nice touch. We had the good fortune of meeting Evelyn, one of the co-owners on our last day and she is the embodyment of a gracious host. I wish her and her team all the best!
Despite its many advantages, Miramonte could benefit from a few improvements. Some of the light bulbs in the hallway and our room were burnt out. The furniture in some (not all) of our rooms felt rather outdated. I also found the pillows too flat. However, these were minor inconveniences that could easily be fixed and even overlooked, especially considering all the other charms of the hotel.

Very cute hotel - mix of old and new. The common area was very cool. The breakfast was the highlight of the stay for me, probably the best one I’ve ever had at a hotel! Good location, nice view and very nice staff. Sauna and relaxation area was good. They offer really nice soap, shampoo and lotion in the rooms. I would definitely book this hotel again!
Maybe the that the rooms have really small tv and an “old” bathroom with a bathtub shower.

Breakfast was delicious! I am not vegan, but the vegan dishes were amazing! The sauna was perfect after a full day of skiing! The staff was extremely professional and friendly! The views from the hotel were wowing. The shuttle service to the slopes was wonderful. The hotel itself had very cozy and quaint feel to it. The bed was super comfortable and the ski room had warming boot hangers!
The hotel is definitely very nice. But some things are not very practical. I understand it’s a design hotel, which doesn’t go hand in hand with practicality, but for example, a full body mirror would be nice to have in the room. Also, the bathroom is very spacious, which is nice, but the lighting was very dim. And last but not least, and this probably only affects 1% of visitors, the wifi in the room was practically nonexistent. If you are on a true vacation, this shouldn’t be an issue at all. But I had to work evenings, and it was challenging.

Everything was great.
The room was tiny but really perfect for us. Bed a bit soft but we slept like babies: the pillows, duvets and bedsheet are super.
The breakfast is varied and the offer is very wide. In the price you also have the afternoon soup and cakes, which goes ahead until 17:00.
Great relaxing area with many many architecture books and bar with excellent view over the mountains.
Two saunas available, with floating resting beds or just hanging seats outside on the balcony.
As a plus, if you are into hiking, the trail to reach Graukogel starts just behind the hotel.
There were no glasses or mugs in the sauna area during our stay (3 days), therefore it was impossible to drink water or tea that are there available to guests. We brought our bottles.

Very good breakfast, nice design.
There was NO wifi in any parts of the building. The bed is the most uncomfortable one I’ve ever slept in, and it also made a very loud noise when one of us was moving (turning from one side to the other), waking up the other one. No minibar in the room either. We paid extra for a bigger room, and yeah the room was spacious but was on the groud floor right next to a tourist walking path and there were people walking and talking extremely loud, waking us up at midnight and 6-7am… we were exhausted by the end of the trip…

Everything! Great location looking at the value, great facilities and food, clean and stylish rooms, extraorfinary food, free tours, relax and sauna area, etc.
Would be great if it had also a bathtub, otherwise 10/10 for me 😎

Food was really great, all of the staff were super nice and relaxed so that it was pure joy to stay here
My room is was a bit cold (like in: not cosy) mainly because I was situated in the back of the house, towards the hill. The bathroom was not as nice as the more expensive rooms (which were shown on photos). Some things (also in the more expensive rooms) were a bit worn off.

Excellent breakfast, very relaxed atmosphere, clean, great modern vibe,
Hotel staff seemed not very familiar ski area when asking for recommendations for huts and other local attractions/ things to do/ restaurants/ shops. I definitely missed traditional Austrian food for dinner after a long day of skiing. A modern twist is great, but at the same time you would like to know you are in Austria and not somewhere else. Traditions make a place unique.

Bad Gastein is built on either side of a steep gorge. Understandably, getting around involves at least some climbing or descending, or both. We took a taxi from the station which was a good decision. If we had known that the hotel could provide a free shuttle we could have saved the fare!
The hotel is perched on the mountainside and definitely has an alternative, boutique vibe going on, evident on arrival from the enormous "All You Need Is Love" banner hanging from the top to the ground floor. The 50s/60s/70s throwback theme was consistent throughout the hotel with its enormous collection of photo books on display for perusal. A mixture of Beat Generation - Summer of Love - Hippy coffee table books alongside architecture and design... Hardly surprising in a hotel owned by an architect. For us it worked well, with an easy, relaxed, boutique dynamic, friendly staff and great food. Dinner was extremely good, friendly waiters, relaxed pace. Breakfast was a sumptuous buffet, very tasty and really nicely presented.
We had paid extra for a room with a terrace which had a swing seat and hammock and incredible views up to the mountains above, across the town, and down to the valley below. The weather wasn't great on our first day, but we made the most of the terrace nonetheless. The room was spacious and fairly modern, although there was a definite 70s retro look and feel in the bathroom and in the corridors - think Grand Budapest Hotel in its later 70s incarnation. The corridors and stair wells are painted quite a dark shade of grey which occasionally created a slightly depressing/sinister 'The Shining' feel, but it was consistent with the retro feel of the whole.
We didn't use the spa facilities, so can't comment on these, but from a wander down the spa corridor with its various treatment rooms, it was clear that the mood here was Eastern mysticism and alternative therapies.
Decor and design are very personal, but if it were up to me I might rethink the dark and dingy corridors and stairs. No need to feel depressed or slightly creeped out on holiday...! Otherwise it all worked really well and the outside terrace with fire pit ad BBQ area was fantastic.

This hotel has a great atmosphere and a super friendly staff. In addition, the breakfast was good. We really enjoyed our time in this hotel.
Even if we enjoyed our time here, I recommend you to eat your dinner somewhere else than in this hotel (try for example restaurant Luke’s that is in the next village). We ate our dinner here once and didn’t like the food that much.
