Die Lage ist wirklich traumhaft, sehr ruhig und mit Blick auf den See. Die Unterkunft hat alles was man benötigt. Eigener Parkplatz ist auch von Vorteil.
Leider riecht es sehr muffig. Der Geruch ging auch durch Lüften nicht weg und hing in den Möbeln. Wir konnten die Kleidung dort nicht lagern. Das war wirklich schade, da die Wohnung richtig schön ist. Die Matratze vom Doppelbett ist leider komplett durch. Das Geschirr war verdreckt im Schrank, da wäre ein kleiner Check-up durch den Gastgeber notwendig.

Lovely little cottage in a great spot, really short drive to bowness or Ambleside. Looking over the lake at the front door. To me it’s in the perfect spot it’s lovely and relaxing where it is. It isn’t too much into a town but close enough it could be walked if you wanted to. It was exactly what we needed.
The tele is a bit small but it isn’t really an issue. The only downside I would say would be Sykes Cottages. We loved it that much we got in touch on our last night to talk about extending our stay another night and they got back to us the day after we got home 😂

Liked the cosiness of the cottage and a nice location quiet but easy walking distance to Windermere and Bowness.
Daughter loved going down to the jetty.
The shower was very slow to drain.

Good location, great that it has parking. Quiet and provides for your basic needs.
Property had a lot of mould which isn’t inviting, and felt in dire need of a touch up. It was ‘clean enough’ but when we arrived there was food left from previous guests on the shelf and crumbs on the work surface. The shower also didn’t look the cleanest, and the toilet seat was loose. Just the small touches could make a big difference.
