Priory Ghyll

It was our second time staying at 'Number 6' Priory Ghyll.The views from the cottage are 'amazing', and a ten minute walk through the wooded path takes you down to the lakeside. If one was to be pernickity it would be worth mentioning that the 'TV' is much too small, and the fridge needs to be replaced with a better quality one. Overall, the the standard of the property was very good, and we would love to come back in the future. All good wishes :)

Nothing to mention

Beautiful view. Very comfortable and no internal stairs. Quiet and peaceful.

Carrying luggage up two grassy tiers and steps some might find difficult.

Lovely little cottage in a great spot, really short drive to bowness or Ambleside. Looking over the lake at the front door. To me it’s in the perfect spot it’s lovely and relaxing where it is. It isn’t too much into a town but close enough it could be walked if you wanted to. It was exactly what we needed.

The tele is a bit small but it isn’t really an issue. The only downside I would say would be Sykes Cottages. We loved it that much we got in touch on our last night to talk about extending our stay another night and they got back to us the day after we got home 😂

Good location, great that it has parking. Quiet and provides for your basic needs.

Property had a lot of mould which isn’t inviting, and felt in dire need of a touch up. It was ‘clean enough’ but when we arrived there was food left from previous guests on the shelf and crumbs on the work surface. The shower also didn’t look the cleanest, and the toilet seat was loose. Just the small touches could make a big difference.
