Disappointing stay - Never again!

The breakfast was the absolute highlight. Very cosy, small room with two tables where you had the opportunity to talk to other guests. Very extensive breakfast, well prepared!

Aside from the breakfast, the house and rooms clearly lack maintenance and care. The room was not clean — dirty carpet and walls, very outdated design, a spider in the corner, dusty surfaces, and a strange smell. The shower sink didn’t drain properly, it took more than five minutes to get hot water, and the floor felt unstable wherever you walked. I felt very uncomfortable in the shower, as if I could fall through to the floor below at any moment. The mattress seemed to have been in use since World War II. The male owner was quite strange and didn’t seem to trust his guests — he only accepted cash payments. Nowadays, I don’t carry cash, so I had to go to the bank. When we returned late that night, he was still awake and immediately demanded the payment. It felt very uncomfortable. This room is worth maybe €30–€35 at most — definitely not more. Overall, not good value for money.

Perfect Location for visiting Berchtesgaden and Salzburg / Hallstatt

This property is absolutely amazing and truly deserves 5 stars. It's one of the most affordable options I found in the Berchtesgaden area, and with a car, all the main attractions are easily accessible — including Berchtesgaden town and Ramsau bei Berchtesgaden. I also made day trip to Hallstatt and Salzburg from here. The location is in a beautiful hilly area with stunning views all around. The stay was incredibly comfortable — the bed was cozy, and the bathroom was spacious and spotless. The owner was very friendly, always greeting me warmly and checking in about breakfast times. Speaking of breakfast, the selection was excellent and well worth it. Highly recommended. 10/10!

Hidden gem

I was so lucky to stay here during my trip. It is very close to the national park, and the surrounding scenery is very outstanding. The owner is very kind, clean bedding, and the delicious breakfast is very good.

Very attractive family-run b&b in a very pastoral, scenic, quiet location 4 km from Ramsau. Very comfortable room. Very generous continental breakfast. Cozy decor. Private parking. Owners very friendly. No credit cards. Beautiful place to retreat and relax.

Good place and Service!

The bed was big and comfortable, with good water pressure, and the place is silent and close to nature, for hiking or exploring the landscape within your onward journey. The Breakfast was perfect. Very well presented, in nice and quiet settings. Perfect for those wanting to enjoy a good breakfast in a peaceful quiet environment. The Host was available, but it give me all the privacy and peace I needed.

There is a cat in the house and it seems, she pees on the carpet, when getting into the house it's noticeable, but inside the rooms with the door closed, I don't feel it. But I am sure the host will clean the carpet in a way that the next visitor will not have to experience this.

In overall, a very good value for money.

The bedroom was very nice, big enough with a small table and chairs. The breakfast was incredible!! There was a lot of choices, either in terms of drinks, salty and sweet stuff (boiled eggs, cakes, cereals, yoghurts, different breads, ham, cheese, fruits) ... in a nice room with original decoration. We really appreciated it.

The bathroom could have been cleaner, and the shower was totally blocked.

Great choice for this price with amazing breakfast

The room was clean and tidy, the host is really nice and speaks english pretty well. The breakfast was phenomenal. Overall, I would highly recommend.

We did not get any information of checking in but there was a phone number we could call. Maybe a short message on the door would be nice to let you know that you can go in and pick up the key. The room was a little cold but with the heating prices it is understandable for this price. (we just took a hot shower and it was fine)

Good value and location

The breakfast was pretty good, a lot of variety, the breakfast room was a bit small but overall, the breakfast was good. We didn't however care to be locked in a a very specific time that we had to choose to eat our breakfast i.e., either 8, 9 or 10 o'clock no time in between without exceptions.

The heating situation was not good, the room was very cold every morning as the heater did not start to come on until after 8 in the morning, and it was the same situation with the shower. The heating situation and shower was repeated every evening when we returned to the room at 5PM it was cold and took some time to warm, but the shower never warmed. Also, the toilet seat would not remain up by itself as I had to use one hand to hold it up.

The owners English wasn´t great but we could understand each other properly. It was confusing to have to pay half of the money by bank transfer before arriving. But I suppose it´s the only way they have to be sure that the guests won´t cancel and they may not be able to get it by card. Booking.com should clarify this before people book the room.

Mattresses were a bit too soft for our liking. Place might not be for everyone - it's a bit like staying at your grandparents, definitely not a hotel but this was to be expected.

Stunning location and a guest house that might be rough around the edges but is packed full of charm

I arrived, the owner showed me my room and said “there’s beer in the fridge downstairs you can help yourself” wasn’t drinking that night but what is there not to like about that? 😃 The location was stunning and the breakfast was good for the price for the price of the room. This place is what it is, you wont get 5* luxury but you will get 5* charm!

Amazing place to stay

The house is beautiful German house, nice yard, beautifully resigned interior. Feels like you're actually living in an old town in Germany, it's beautiful! The room was very nice and clean. Hosts were very welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was very delicious!
