Comfortable stay near Königsee

- Two beds in room were comfortable - Cleanliness was upto the mark - Mountain view from Balcony makes stay pleasant - Enough Parking spaces - Breakfast was good - Bathroom is very spacious and included both types of shower cabins (badewanne and Dusche)

- Lift was very slow - Some staff members were sometimes irritated and unfriendly - Room curtains were transparent and room can not be darken which leads to sleep disturbance during early morning hours -

Restaurant evening meal you need to book. Even as hotel guest doesn't mean you will get a table and food.. No tea or coffee in room but usual for germany

Some staff need customer service training

The reception staff were friendly & helpful, especially Andrea. The mountain view from our room was exceptional. Nice to have a swimming pool although rather cold. The food was quite good, especially breakfast. Free buses with the visitor pass. Hardworking cleaning staff.

The restaurant manager was extremely rude & unhelpful, we didn't feel comfortable when he was around. I complained at the time but he totally ignored us on his next shift. I don't even know if this was followed up as nothing was mentioned again.One waitress wasn't too friendly either. The other restaurant staff were fine. I felt it was because our German was very limited, although we tried, they couldn't be bothered. And we noticed this with other German speaking guests too, there was very little friendliness. They really need a lesson in hospitality & customer service. I stopped buying drinks there because the waiter refused my change & told me to spend it elsewhere. As well as telling me in a very dismissive way "you're in Deutschland now" when I was trying to explain we rarely use cash since Covid in the UK. Anything under €20 has to be paid in cash, not credit card which I understood, I was just pointing out our differences, his attitude was rubbish. Despite putting a notice to clean our room, the cleaning manager wasn't happy as we had only been there 3 nights. Our beds were only changed once & towels twice in the fortnight we were there & we had to ask for this. With really hot sweaty nights we felt quite unclean. It made us feel a nuisance to ask. The cleaners themselves were lovely & very hardworking. Food was nice but quite salty & lacking in vegetables apart from sauerkraut. No decaf coffee/ tea(I have a heart problem) but I brought my own fortunately. No facilities for making tea/coffee in the room & the restaurant isn't open during the day to purchase any. People smoking continually on the terrace next to ours, having asthma, this was not good. Heat in the rooms was sometimes unbearable when it was 30°C outside with no air con or even a fan.

pillow was not comfortable at all, like the bed though. city Tawana not mentioned any where while booking and they charged hefty amount at the name of city tax 15 euros for 3 nights. it should be mentioned if there was any restriction like this

My wife and I had a very nice double bedroom while my son and his 3 children had an apartment. Both were first class. The restaurant was outstanding.

More parking, or a separate area for motorbikes, as these each took up parking space for a car.

It was nice but not memorable

The location is great, close yo Königssee and Salzburg. A lot of parking space(free), balcony with mountains view, a mini fridge.

The bed was a bi5 old and too soft, it was hard on my back. No window in the bathroom, no ventilation. In summer, IT IS SO HOT inside the room. No 24 hrs staffs

The room had spiders and bugs, it wan't clean. The beds are not comfortable. The room was hot and there was no ac. No view from the room. Room service does not change the towels at all.

Overall great hotel and staff. The only thing to note: the sauna is not running all the time. Therefore a warm up phase of 1h is scheduled and it costs 10€ per person per (full) day. In my opinion that's legit, just important to know. Swimming pool is free.

Excellent location , free parking. The room was big and spacious. Comfortable beds and god shower. Very good breakfast with a lot of options to choose from. We also had our dinner here, which was very convenient and the food is very good too. We also got the guest card from hotel with which we got a discount at the day parking in königsee. All in all, will highly recommend this place for a stay in and around königsee/berchtesgaden.

Room is very clean and well maintained. Reception lady is very friendly....Breakfast has enough choices! ***What a good surprise, was a nearby restaurant we visited (hotel restaurant closed on Wednesday, so having an hotel coupon in the hand, we drove to a Austrian restaurant "GASTHAUS UNTERSTEIN"). Their menu was simple and food was excellent compared to our hotel restaurant! 3 course menu--GREAT! We would definitely go again for dinner when we visit Königssee again. ***

Our Half Board, Dinner is average Canteen food standard, nothing great! Soup was thin and can-food-liked, fish was just OK. For Breakfast, unfortunately I overlooked the BIG sign of coffee machine "no self-service", I took a cappuccino by myself and the waitress reminded me politely for €2.5/extra coffee fee. (My mistake! Hotel offered only normal coffee, no cappuccino. If I am the Hotel/restaurant owner, I will waive this small fee to please the customer. Preferably to offer free cappuccino in the breakfast). Rule is rule, I paid !
