Great, but little touches would improve it

Comfortable beds. Full sized kettle. Vending machine. Easy to use shower.. good heting. Towels provided (which weren't on the itinerary and i wouldn't have brought mine if i'd know)

Not enough milk. 3 sachets would make one cup of tea Could do with a small mini fridge. Breakfast could run longer than 7 to 9. No handle in the shower. No caddy or shelf to put your bits in while you get washed. Poor value loo roll and so it runs out quick.

Bed really quite uncomfortable mattress hard with 4 pillows doesn't matter how big mattress is there was a massive gap between the pillows so you may as well have been in a single bed In conclusion get some bigger pillows

A great place to stay in Wakefield.

A beautiful building in a nice location surrounded by trees. The room was clean and tastefully decorated and the beds were comfortable. Free parking was a bonus and all the staff were friendly and helpful.

The bar and restaurant were busy on Saturday so struggled to find a clean, free table so worth booking if you're visiting at the weekend and plan to eat there. We couldn't get hot water in the bathroom sink but the water in the bath was hot.

In the evenings we walked to and from my sons house which is nearby. I always feel very vulnerable in the unlit driveway down to the main road. Some lighting would be good.

Both my husband and I like to stay at Holmfield Arms when we are visiting Wakefield as it is very convenient for family and friends. The rooms are comfortable and there is the option of the restaurant if needed. There is always parking available. Staff are friendly and, when I stay on my own, I always feel safe.

A great place to stay in Wakefield- our second stay here.

The hotel is in a pleasant park setting. Our room was spacious but cozy. Staff were very welcoming. We stayed over the Xmas period and didn’t book breakfast. However a complimentary breakfast was provided on Xmas Day which was very nice.

Nothing to dislike. The only improvement would be a room with a walk-in shower. However the hotel provides rubber bath mats for those of a nervous disposition.

Great hotel spoiled by the abysmal breakfast

Nice atmosphere, we knew there would be loud music and parties. It was noisy but we knew that

Breakfast was possibly the worst we’ve had. Cold and undercooked eggs were particularly badly cooked, didn’t eat beans stone cold, bacon insipid, the vegi option had obviously been cooked, then re cooked again, mostly rock hard and also cold. The toast was good, but I did that myself on the toaster. If you do go don’t pay for the breakfast

Would stay here again!

The staff at reception were so very, very helpful: Ryan, Michelle, Nicki--all of them that we met. They changed our room for us because of mobility, very kind of them. The staff at breakfast were very helpful. My daughter has food allergies, and they were very accomodating.

The music at breakfast was too loud.

Great staff , clean rooms . Lovley grounds , close to centre

Great stay , fabulous weekend . Went to do some Christmas shopping in Wakefield at 9:30 in morning and rocked up back to hotel at 1:30 in the morning . Did not expect Wakefield to gr so much fun . Breakfast was great did not eat at the hotel other than that as there was some great food places. In the centre . Will definitely be back

We liked the location (in the park and near to relatives), the quiet rooms and the restaurant.

We needed a 3 pin power point nearer to the bed. A 2nd chair would have been nice.

Constant loud music even at breakfast, tribute act one evening which was deafening, so no one could talk and be heard during our meal. Only 1 out of 3 hand pump beers available, which for a brewery owned pub is very poor.

Spacious room. A very busy hotel with attached pub. Staff were excellent and extremely helpful. Good food in the restaurant at reasonable prices. Dog friendly.

Dissapointing

Location was good Breakfast was good Pub/bar was lovely

The hotel did not mirror the Pub/inn. Bland building very basic room. No drinking water, no tissues, minimal tea/coffee supply. Bathroom very scruffy, shower over bath , no slil mat or grab rail. 4 flights of stairs no lift. Small open wardrobe - desk with open shelves - no drawers. One dining room chair in a double room so there was two of us. One of us had to sit on the bed which I hate. Not a peg or hook to hang a bag or coat. Just a really basic characterless hotel. We slept there and that was it, it wasnt a room you could comfortably spend any time in.

A great nights sleep at Holmfield

The Room was very very clean, and beautifully designed and modern. Everything we needed and a very comfortable bed. Great nights sleep.

We ate in the restaurant - Sunday roast, service was ok but not outstanding, but meat was not nice either the beef not the turkey and veg were very ordinary. No condiments either horseradish or cranberry.
