Very central to everything. Clean , good shower, comfy bed

The settee has rips in it which made it look tatty, a throw over it would help improve. A t towel t dry pots would be good.

Conveniently-located apartment

The check in instructions were easy to follow and I had no issues with the codes getting into the room. Room was spacious and facilities modern (great water pressure).

The heating switched itself off in the morning and it wasn't straight forward how to turn it back on - freezing room! The shared hallways weren't that clean (stank of weed).

A good example of affordable studio accommodation.

I had stayed before so knew what to expect. The room was modern and spacious with kitchen and minimal but adequate equipment (two each of cutlery/crockery etc). There was a desk which is good for a business trip but also sofa and table for two to eat at. Excellent WiFi.

The entrance is underwhelming but not a problem. Entry is by code so you need to record that. It would have helped to have pre-warmed the room but the wall heater worked well when switched on. Instructions for the TV would have helped but you get used to how these things work with a bit of trial and error.

Very comfortable and clean apartment

The location was excellent as it was central and within easy walking distance of the train station. I found the location quiet on a Wednesday night which made it easy to sleep. The bed was extremely comfortable and the apartment was spotless. Lovely hot shower in the morning and the bathroom and kitchenette fixture and fittings were of a high standard. The host also communicated the door opening codes via email and in a timely way which was helpful.

A new kettle is needed in the kitchen as it looked green at the bottom so I couldn't use it to make a hot drink on arrival. The host had thoughtfully left some coffee sachets. Some instructions on how to unlock the microwave and how to use it would be helpful as this is an alternative way to make a hot drink. Even though the apartment is meant to be non smoking there was a smell of cigarette smoke in the apartment when I arrived so I opened all the windows to ventilate which got rid of it. Its a shame as this initally detracted from what was an otherwise spotlessly clean apartment.

I enjoyed my stay as the location was great

The location was really good and the bed was really comfortable

The apartment lacked maintenance as the dining table looked like someone had hit it with a hammer, the kitchen worktop was badly damaged at one end, the bathroom looked really good but the shower hose was leaking at the shower head and one of the roller blinds was missing the chain to operate the blind. Despite these items I would stay again.

Having stayed here before, I knew how central a location this was, slap bang in the middle of town. Excellent for all teh shops, bars, pubs etc...the place was clean, modern and stylish

One of the window blinds was broken, and there were some rather ugly black marks on the carpet...could have done without it being on the 3rd floor also

The apartment itself was lovely- nice and clean, just the right size.

The location- there was a very loud live music venue very close with a late license so I didn't sleep well (I needed the windows open too as it was summer which didn't help noise levels).

A very nice and convenient place to stay.

Smart, nicely furnished, very clean and the most central location in Wakefield. This is the third time we've stayed there and I strongly recommend it. We have to visit Wakefield several times a year. We stayed in a few other places before we found this one and this is by far the nicest and best.

A comfortable apartment in a central location

The apartment was clean and modern, and it was easy to speak to a member of the team with any queries.

Lack of a lift (I had a heavy case with me and was on the top floor!); lack of luggage storage facilities.

Apartment was clean, modern and comfortable. Location was good, in centre of Wakefield town, close to loads of bars, shops and restaurants, and about a 5 minute walk from the train station. The hotel is receptionless but the staff are easy to reach, customer service was good and helped with any issues or questions quite quickly.

Only issue was the security guard, was quite rude and questioned me and my partner a lot when we came back in the evening to our room. Even said he’d come into our room later in the night to check it was just us staying, even though it was just me and my partner coming into the hotel, it was 11.30pm and he had no reason to think otherwise. This did make us feel uncomfortable the first night.

Overall Great

Overall I enjoyed my stay. The place was very clean and a great location for a stay in the city despite the noise. The security guard was friendly, as well as the employee of Deuce Hotels I spoke on the phone to.

We stayed on a weekend with a heatwave, obviously not Deuce Hotels fault. So it was very hot at night. There was no air conditioning, so we had to open windows. Which in turn made street noise quite loud as there are several clubs/bars near the building. 'Checking-in' was a little confusing. I got sent an email with a link to online check in, which didn't do anything. However, on a separate email had the room number and access codes for the apartment. Which after phoning the contact number, I found out that was all I needed.

The place could really do with some decor - it’s grey and white, rather soulless. The shape of the space is a little awkward so mind your head and knees. The streets around are full of bars so remember to bring earplugs or stay out until the small hours

No lift. No extractor fan for the shower. Broken sofa and no air con or fan + giant boiler in the room made it very difficult to sleep in the heat.

Handy for Hepworth gallery and train station

Chose apartment so we could make our own breakfast, good hot water and general facilities met our needs. Good location except for late night noise from local pubs.

There was no saucepan, tea towel, disher drainer or bread knife in kitchen, very basic, not easy to cook evening meal. No instructions for hob, fan or heating controls. The shower attachment was falling off the wall.

The apartment was very clean the bed was super comfortable and the fan in the room was great ecspecially cause it was so hot when we went . The tv was great lots of options

There was no lift so had to walk to top floor about 50 steps . Can’t really cook meals as very minimal items to use only 1 saucepan and 1 frying pan and no instructions on how to use the microwave oven which was pretty annoying but worked it out in the end

Sorry Marygate. This cant be put down to you but I was kept awake by street fighting and shouting between 1 and 3am. Then at almost 3am on the dot my 'neighbours' in adjoining room decided that was a good time to start an almighty argument - banging doors, shouting, screaming, crying. In the words of Frankie Vallie Oh What A Night. I just feel anyone staying particular on a weekend should know this. Note- my sleepless night was a Wednesday nighgt/Thursday morning.

We could not access the property .The keypad didnt work .Luckily we knocked on the door and the lovely cleaners who were due to leave helped resolve the issue .Management who promised ring us back never did !

Perfect location!!

The location was absolutely superb! Great for a night around Wakefield.. right in the centre of all the action.. and very close to lots of parking facilities and entertainment. It was super clean all towels and toiletries provided and easy to use the pin codes provided to get in and out of the property.

The only downside we found that there was a lack of kitchen utensils (ie:we only had one dinner knife) and only one very small saucepan made it quite hard to cook breakfast and an evening meal.
