Ayur Ayur Resort & Ayurveda Retreat

We stayed at AYUR AYUR Resort for one night and had a pleasant experience overall. The highlight of our stay was definitely the staff, everyone was very friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our visit. Also the driver who was the best one we had in our holidays. The massage was also very relaxing and enjoyable.

The food was average, and the cleanliness of the rooms and facilities could be improved a bit. However, for a short stay, it was still a comfortable and peaceful experience. With a few improvements, this place could be even better.

The staff were lovely. I loved the treatment packages. A short stroll to the beach. Great place work all the things you need like air-conditioning, pool etc.

It is a beautiful little gem and loved the property. Really well planned. The first night AC wasn’t working so they shifted to a better room. The most significant was the staff Ruben, Nixon and Sharmili made sure we had everything we needed 24/7. The massages were also good.

Loved everything about the large rooms on third floor

The room was traditional, clean and comfortable.

I didn’t sleep well at the property. It is close to a train line and trains woke me up at 5am. I could then also hear staff downstairs preparing breakfast and shouting at each other. By 6 a lot of banging had also started. There were also limited power sockets in the room - just one by the bed which was too far away from the mirror to allow me to do my hair. The room was also very dark. The most off-putting thing, however, was breakfast. I arrived and could find no staff. It transpired that a man who was phlegm-ing into the river which runs alongside the restaurant was in fact the waiter. He saw me, wiped his nose in his sleeve and showed me to a table. When the food arrived, it was lukewarm and prepared and I was worried how long it had been sat around. The waiting also pointed at each item to tell me what it was - and touched the food. As I ate, he continued spitting in the river which was really off putting. I left almost all the food as I was so uncomfortable.
