    We stayed at the Sentido Heritance Negombo for 2 nights when we arrived to Sri Lanka. This hotel is huge and right on the beach front. There were several restaurants nearby in walking distance. The staff were friendly and attentive. We were there on a Sunday night when the locals were enjoying their time on the beach, kiting and dancing, it was great to be amongst it.

    Hotel is in a great location near many restaurants and all rooms are facing the sea, which is nice. Rooms are large with many amenities (including an iron) which is difficult to find in some hotels). The staff here are very helpful (especially Malshani and Pasan, security, the doormen and concierge, and the chefs cook amazing lamb! We were very pleased with our stay.

    * Spacious, comfortable and very clean room with a beautiful sea view. * The property is large, well maintained and has good facilities. * Staff were welcoming and helpful, and check-in was smooth and efficient. * Breakfast was good and reasonably priced. * Great location, with restaurants, a supermarket and other amenities within walking distance. * The gym was a highlight. Much better equipped than the average hotel gym, with dumbbells up to 20 kg, cable equipment, leg extension/curl machines and a good selection of cardio equipment. Definitely sufficient for getting a proper workout in while travelling. * Soundproofing was the main downside. Noise carries very easily into the room. I could hear neighbouring rooms, people in the corridor, doors/switches, traffic, crows and music from nearby venues. The balconies face the sea while the room entrances face the road, so noise from that side was particularly noticeable at night. * Airport transfer: Transfers are available, but are arranged through the concierge rather than being a hotel-operated private car. I was advised that payment would need to be made in USD cash, so it is worth confirming the arrangement and payment method beforehand.

    Location at the beach is lovely. Staff were lovely and as helpful as they could possibly be. Can’t speak for the other rooms but the one we got was in need in refurbishing. Shower drainage was slow, curtain would not close all the way. Room layout was weird with toilet located separately from the shower in a rather dark cubicle. Wardrobe was small and rather flimsy in construction. We did not seek a change of room as we were there for work and were expecting to spend most of our time away from the room. Was also told at check in that hotel was mostly full. Additionally the beds were far too soft and not particularly supportive, although this could be subjective. It could be that this room was not representative of the entire hotel as many other guests gave great reviews. However based in this stay I could not return.
