Blue Elephant Boutique Hotel

Lovely little hotel with beautiful decoration and friendly staff. We only stayed for proximity to the airport but it was a very comfortable stay.

We had some confusion about breakfast which we were told started at 7:30 but didn’t seem to be happening as expected. The hotel prepared us a sandwich and it wasn’t their fault but we had been looking forward to something more substantial before the flight. Other than that it was lovely.

We had a wonderful stay here. The room was spacious and very clean, which made our stay comfortable and relaxing. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. A special thanks to Jaan, who truly made our stay extra enjoyable. Nothing was ever too much for him—he was always ready to help and assist us with a smile. His kindness and dedication really stood out. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a pleasant and comfortable stay.

Breakfast can be repetitive and no other options avail from the Sri Lankan or omelette and toast.

Great location, fantastic staff, reasonable prices for alcohol. Restaurant area really nicely decorated with Sri Lankan art and rustic wooden furniture.

Rooms were a bit tired, bed was hard. Open slatted window in bathroom allowed mosquitoes in. (Yes I accept there was some kind of pop up net in the wardrobe). We mistakenly thought breakfast was included but it was not and the charge of 3000/- we felt was a little excessive for what we had. However the next morning when leaving early to the airport the night manager was trying to give us a packed up breakfast 🤷‍♀️. Tea and coffee supplies were negligible and the room was not cleaned or made up in the morning. We just felt overall the cost was more than the hotel was worth.
