The location was fantastic! Loved the terrace. It was clean.

It was a little noisy at times but it was quiet during the night. Also the kitchen could use wine glasses. The room could use a few more amenities like shampoo and conditioner and an extra blanket in the room.

Breakfast was good, perfect start to the day! We were able to attend the most beautiful Mass at the Church next door. A great experience! Extremely convenient to the cruise port. Convenient short walk to the Cruise Shuttle. Stephano, who was excellent offered to call a cab. 7 Bells was an excellent way to start our vacation in Italy! The Museum across the street is worth seeing €3, well worth it!

I can’t comment on 7 bell’s house property and the stay , I have been waiting to write a review (2 weeks) as I was promised a refund for some of my money back which has not happened, the review would have been a better if I had received my refund. I originally booked this on reviews and personal recommendation, due to location and scoring. As per message below. We regret but we have to relocate you to another accomodation due to a problem on the online system of booking. We grant you an upgrade in one of our property close to 7 Bell's House (1 minute walk). The name of your new accomodation is Palazzo Alibrandi. For your comfort and convenience, could you please inform me of your estimated time of arrival? We apologize for any inconvenience.

Palazzo alibrandi was most definitely not an upgrade it was awful. When I arrived at 7 bell’s house to check in, I was told they were trying to get hold of me I explained that the message had only come through that morning, I was greeted with an eye roll from the reception. I asked how this had happened as I booked in January 2025 and paid in full in May 2025. I was told the supervisor would speak to me once I was check in. Never saw the supervisor. The palazzo alibrandi was maybe 2 doors up, nice building. Walked in to be greeted with Tom cat wee smell. No lift so needed to carry our cases good job we are young enough to do that. Shown to our room and breakfast room, where was the upgrade? 7 bell’s balcony for breakfast, was Palazzo Alibrandi dark breakfast room? Was told we could go to 7 bells for breakfast, but I thought this was an upgrade? The room beds so uncomfortable, no curtain, smoke detector behind the door approx 3 inches from the floor, no hand soap in the bathroom. Only one plug in the room that I could find next to one bed. We didn’t sleep well at all, next morning we couldn’t bring our selfs to have breakfast we watched others in 7 bells enjoying the sunshine and looking very refreshed from a good nights sleep eating breakfast on the balcony. I have later learnt that some people staying at 7 bells house only booked in June 2025. There was no upgrade in this accommodation at all. 7 bells is a 3 star Palazzo Alibrandi is rated a 2 star on google maps. It should be a 1. I messaged via WhatsApp the 7 bells explained that I was not happy and there was no upgrade, I was and still am very disappointed and upset, Stefano answered me back with an apology offered a 80% refund, he said it will take a couple of days. A week later I messaged again and said still no received was told again he will do in a few days, another week has passed and still nothing. Booking.com have even tried and they are having no response from 7 bells.

Great hosts, clean and quiet

Very friendly hosts, and helpful. The place was clean and quiet. Beautiful balcony outside where you can sit down and enjoy a nice cappuccino and have an overlooking on the area where you are staying. Many restaurants nearby at walking distance, and the food is excellent, you can eat like the locals.

They are hard to reach if you are using the booking.com chat. The easiest way to get in contact with someone is through WhatsApp, but they have to contact you first. You have to budget a little more than what you paid for the hotel. I didn't know we had to pay Italian taxes in extra. That is an extra 3 euros per person, per night. Breakfast, if not included in your package, is an extra 8 euros per person per day. And shuttle to the ship is an extra 10 euros par person. We were a group of 4, so we needed 2 rooms, but they said there was a glitch in their system that made them to overbooked the place. So, 1 couple had to be transferred to a nearby hotel that was substandard, and they weren't very happy with their stay.

The closeness to other places was good, the balcony to sit on was nice, and the beds were good.

Staff wasn’t the nicest about the fact that we didn’t pay extra for breakfast (which we didn’t see as an option when we originally booked) and there were some issues with the bathroom. It was loud when we arrived with people in the lobby and we could hear it from our room.

7 Bells House is a great location. You can walk everywhere in Civitavecchia. Close to the port shuttle and historic center. Stefano and the staff were very helpful. Communication was excellent. I would stay here again if I ever cruise from Civitavecchia.

The location to the cruise line shops, places to eat and look at things was great

For you standards, it would be like staying in a motel six. The bathroom smelled like sewage most of the time the bed was about 6 inches off the ground. You get a room and share all the public spaces kitchen eating area balcony. Not quite up to US standards, but I don’t think they care you come in and spend a couple nights and leave. They’ll never see you again. It also took us about 45 minutes to get into the hotel the first night. It was hard to find even the entrance to the place. Reminded me of staying in a hostile.

Unfortunately reception was not there to greet us even though we arrived within their stated reception hours. Took a bit to figure out how to get into accommodations. It was a Sunday night on a local celebration weekend so very loud music coming from beach did disturb our nights sleep.
