Autumn break
The Bothy was spacious yet cosy. The library lounge was warm and well appointed with a log burner. The bed was extremely comfortable. The hot tub and outdoor space was the highlight of the trip. With little light pollution, the view of the night sky was stunning. Considering pur daily use of the hot tub, The Bothy was good value for money. We enjoyed walks into Kelso and also a trip to a nearby spa.
The kitchen lacked the luxurious feel of the lounge and bedroom. The chairs in the sitting area in the kitchen were tired. The two prosecco flutes didn't match. A simple welcome pack would have felt right on a farm property with milk, butter, eggs, bread etc.

Fabulous wee Bothy
Fabulous accommodation. As soon as we stepped over the doorstep I knew we had made the right choice to visit. Ideal wee Bothy for a couple. The detail Ashley provided in furnishing the Bothy was second to none. Loved to sit in the conservatory and chill out watching the birds in the garden. You would never know you were on a working farm it was so quiet. Being an older couple we loved the peace and quiet. Lovely enclosed courtyard with seating and a hot tub (we didn't actually use it but it was there if we had done). I loved the cosy library area where there were books and dvds that you could use. Also the wood burner although we didn't need to use it as the weather was so good. Lovely firm bed which we like with en suite shower room. Situated only 3 miles from Kelso where there is a big Sainsbury's as well as bespoke shops. Had the pleasure of meeting Ashley, Simon and the kids along with their 2 adorable dogs. There on hand if needed. Can definitely recommend to family and friends and will most definitely return in the future.
If I had to say anything bigger towels and possibly more than one set especially if using hot tub (we had a set of bath sheets with us so wasn't a problem for us). Also instructions on how to use the shower. Neither of these would stop us returning. Was sorry to leave as we enjoyed it so much.

Great house for some peace n quiet away from busy life and we had great weather which is a bonus hope to return sometime
Absolutely loved the bothy so peaceful n private but not far away from the town beautifully decorated n furnishings
Nothing really , could do with a clothes airer or so where to hang wet towels as no where to hang washing if you needed as there is a washing machine If you used it also was no tray to put any thin in the oven but that would not stop me returning will defo be back and recommending to friends n family

Everything - it was fab! A relaxing weekend in a quiet and private bothy within a working farm. A real home from home located in the countryside but 5 mins drive to Kelso town. Ideal as a base for touring the borders or just walking, reading, eating and relaxing in the hot tub whatever the weather.
