There are two double bedrooms with wardrobe and drawers in both rooms.
Well-equipped kitchen with twin oven four-hob cooker, microwave, toaster etc.and a breakfast table for two; no dishwasher.
The bathroom has a bath, electric shower, basin, lavatory and heated towel rail. Electric heating in all rooms. Spacious hallway.
We have someone who lives very nearby who cleans the flat and manages the change overs she is also there to give you any support if needed. All linen is provided.

Kelso is a wonderful town. The butcher shop and restaurant around the corner are fantastic. Very nice produce shop nearby. Car parking is free, but usually not available closer than a block.

We stayed in Kelso as a central point for visiting the South Borders of Scotland and this apartment was perfect. Right in the heart of Kelso. Lots of places to eat, shop, tour the town and its attractions like Floors Caste and the Antique Fair. Being next to the Abbey, the views out of each window was a painting. Kitchen well stocked with cooking supplies if you want to cook your own meals. Parking is located on the road at the apartment if you can get a spot or very close by is a free parking lot. Highly recommend this lovely apartment. We would definitely stay here again

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Kelso and at Jane's flat. Comfortably spacious, quiet, centrally located, with views out to Kelso Abbey and the graveyard very atmospheric. Perusing Jane's collection of vintage books, maps and slightly old fashioned paraphernalia made for pleasant evenings with a glass of wine in hand. We would happily stay here again and indeed, look forward to our return to the Scottish Borders (a last minute travel decision ! ). So much to see and do. Lovely gentle countryside with brilliant historical castles and abbeys. And, Hunter's, the butchers/petite bistrot to the front of the building was fabulous ! Thank you Jane.

Initially the apartment seemed a little old fashioned but it was scrupulously clean and by gosh, it had everything you needed for a very comfortable visit and we had a great stay. The location was brilliant too. Thank you.

This was our second time here, and every bit as good as the first. Perfect base for walks along the rivers Tweed and Teviot, and we also enjoyed visits to the Great Tapestry of Scotland in its new home in Galashiels as well as to Mellerststain House, Floors Castle and Lindisfarne. It was an added bonus to be in Kelso for the annual Civic Week with all the festivities associated with installing the Kelso Laddie 2022, including lots of action from the pipe band, superb fireworks, and an amazing equestrian procession for the Rideout to Yetholm. And the flat is almost next door to Hunters, which must be the best butcher/ deli in Scotland. Many thanks Jane for a very comfortable stay in your lovely apartment.

Spacious and pleasant 2nd floor flat (no lift) at edge of town centre. Well equipped kitchen. Near views of Kelso Abbey Ruins from the side windows. Only minor drawback is that nearby street parking is difficult- but there is a free car park about 200 yards away.

The flat was beyond our expectations. The photos don’t do it justice, it appears to be dated, however this was not the case. The vintage/antique furnishings may not be to everyone’s taste, but we loved it & felt that it made the flat feel homely.

We spent a lovely week in Kelso this Summer. The flat was very clean and had everything we needed, in terms of cooking utensils etc. Kelso is a beautiful town with nice surrounding walks. The location was also handy, as the bus stop to take us into neighbouring Jedburgh, Melrose etc, was only a short walk away.

A perfect base for exploring the Scottish Borders

We've had a totally enjoyable week exploring the Borders from this very comfortable and ideally located flat. The king size bed has an excellent firm mattress and beautiful bedding; the shower is hot and strong; the sitting room has comfortable sofa and armchairs; there's a good size dining table; the kitchen is small but very well-equipped; we enjoyed the books, maps and classical CDs. For us there were rather too many knick-knacks and artificial air-fresheners, but we just put them away in cupboards during our stay, and obviously these things are a matter of taste. It's on the 2nd floor of a small block of flats, converted from a nice old building on a quiet street in the middle of the market town of Kelso. The windows have picture-perfect views of the beautiful ruined Normal abbey (almost next door), along a narrow old alley way (or "wynd"), and across a churchyard/park shaded with big trees. Kelso is an attractive and likeable place with cobbled streets, walks along the River Tweed, and a nice mix of shops (including a great cook shop and an excellent garden centre). Just outside Kelso is Floors Castle, a spectacular stately home with woodland walks and absolutely wonderful flower gardens. I'm a fan of Sir Walter Scott, who spent most of his life in the area and whose 250th anniversary falls this year. So we had a fantastic time seeing the Scott sites, especially his house Abbotsford (with very good cafe), Smailholm Tower by the farm where he was brought up, beautiful Dryburgh Abbey where he's buried, and his favourite viewpoint over the Tweed Valley. One day we drove down river to see the hill-top ruin of Norham Castle and the site of the Battle of Flodden. We were lucky enough to have hot sunny weather all week, so we also did three whole-day walks - on the Eildon Hills, and on the moors above the Ettrick and Yarrow valleys, where we didn't see another soul all day. At one point in our stay there was a minor problem with the plumbing in the flat, and the owner Jane sorted with great efficiency and generosity. She was very friendly and helpful right from the moment we booked. Altogether, we had a lovely week and the flat was everything we needed.

Just back from an amazing holiday, Flat is lovely, clean & welcoming, & well equipped, Kelso is a lovely town with lovely unique shops & friendly people , arrived at the flat to find flowers shortbread, Jam & hand sanitizer included in the welcome pack .
