Perfect Accommodation

The location was perfect very central, everything on the doorstep. The house was clean, tidy, airy, very comfortable, spacious and very well equipped. The bathrooms were lovely and the shower really comfortable. The beds and pillows were great. What a fantastic weekend we had. I would absolutely highly recommend this property. Thank you so much.

Really lovely, spacious and well equipped flat in a great location. Rooms are all a great size, tastefully decorated. Kitchen is fully equipped with plenty of crockery, glassware and crockery. Two bathrooms (one en suite) is great when 4 adults staying. Large, free, car park nearby. Lots of lovely shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs on the doorstep. Check in and check out were seamless, host was really helpful.

Excellent mid week break in a superb location.

Proximity to the town square is excellent as all amenities on the doorstep. Plenty of free parking close by. Rooms were big and clean, nice and bright, with 2 bathrooms (one ensuite). Showers are big and plenty hot water and pressure. Comfy beds and kitchen with every appliance required, but we didn't use them all. Windows not capable of opening and locked closed (there was a safety reason for this and I understand) but fans were in each bedroom and the kitchen / living room were air conditioned by a powerful unit. Host was contacted by phone before we arrived and he very pleasant and helpful.

Nothing springs to mind. Very happy with the flat and its condition and location, and the host's helpfulness.

the flat was very clean and well decorated. Facilities provided were of a high standard and the beds and seating were comfortable

Clearer instructions regarding which bin could be used for recycling. It was directly opposite a very busy and noisy pub. How I recognise that this is not directly related to the actual property

Border visit to Kelso.

The apartment is beautifully appointed and has everything you'd need for a trip to a lovely Border town. The photographs don't do this central apartment justice. It is very smart and comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay Visited for a family wedding. It's in centre of town . We didn't need parking, but plenty around if needed.

Our stay was most enjoyable and the appartment was most comfortable

Barclay House was in an excellent location and plenty of restaurants within walking distance. The appartment was superb and was immaculate on arrival. I would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting Kelso. Also very convenient for local bus services.

The only minor issue was that the shower in the en suite bathroom did not have a soap holder Everything else to make our stay pleasant had been done. There was a folder with places of interest nearby and recommendations for local restaurants.

Appartment is on the first floor, but the stairs are quite long. No problem for the young and fit, but good to take into account for those who are not.

Really lovely flat, very friendly and understanding host , will stay again

The Booking.com app provided the wrong lock box number. A message to the owner was swiftly responded to with the correct number. When we left, like idiots we left the wrong set of keys in the box. Simon was extremely understanding about this and a fix was quickly agreed. Thanks Simon!

We had fantastic weather the weekend we stayed. it got a little bit clammy in the flat as we were unable to open any windows. No issue at all during the day as we were mostly out. I'm used to sleeping in a room with an open window, so this may not be an issue for everyone. Also TBF, I would imagine that baking sunshine and gtemperatures in the twenty's isn't a regular feature of Kelso weather ;-)

Good communication with the owner. On arrival the accommodation was spotlessly clean and warm. Apartment was really well equipped and had everything we needed for a weekend break. It was right in the centre of Kelso so everything was in walking distance and there was free parking behind the accommodation.

Great location, Spacious apartment. Bedrooms especially comfortable. Well-equipped. Everything went smoothly, the longer we stayed the more we liked it.

Personally, I liked it all, but there were lots of stairs, so it's not suitable for people with mobility issues.

Apartment was very comfortable, clean and a great location to all amenities of kelso. Bedrooms are quiet, beds comfy and the accommodation allows great social spaces, both for eating and relaxing.

There was no ability to open windows, although the host offers a small Air Conditioning unit and fans the apartment was still warm and stuffy at times. The weather was very warm for Scotland though.

very lovely modern property, very clean with lots of space due to the high ceilings. very spacious and comfortable. very central for the shops, restaurants and bars in Kelso

parking wasn’t a problem for me as I know the area and managed to get a parking spot nearby but it may be a problem for some. in terms of mobility, one of my friends was not able to access the property due to the entrance stairs so perhaps best to highlight that it may be an issue for some. my elderly parents who were due to come with me would definitely not be able to climb up the stairs.
