Friends stay in the borders

Great house for us as a group of friends and great facilities, especially loved the hot tub and the space the house offers. Comfortably fit us all. Having 2 reception rooms was great as it gave the kids a separate place to play and loved that there were toys and books for the kids to play with. In a good location for many different places to see and just over an hour to Edinburgh via a scenic drive which was great.

Not a dislike but would be handy to have a shower in the upstairs bathroom too, would have made it a little easier in the mornings!

Beautiful family lodge just a short riverside walk from town.

The lodge was beautifully decorated with every home comfort provided for a relaxing family stay. The beds were really comfortable allowing us to rule rest after a busy day exploring. The host was on hand whenever we needed anything and was responsive with advice for local walks and activities. It truly was a home from home and with our teenagers, we very much appreciated the different spaces around the home. They in turn loved the hot tub and garden. We would return without hesitation!

Beautiful property with great facilities and very friendly owners. Hot tub was excellent as were the bedrooms and kitchen. Loved seeing the ponies and stargazing at night.

We had no complaints but a shower in the upstairs bathroom would have been a bonus. With six people it would made lives a little easier each morning.

Perfect accommodation for families with babies and dogs.

The property was spacious and perfect for a family of 6 adults, a baby and two dogs. The location was in the countryside on a working farm offering lovely views across open fields. The hot tub was perfect to relax in at the end of a busy day walking as we’re the two patio areas. Great outside space.

A perfect rural retreat

The cottage was comfortable, well equipped, and perfectly located - quiet and rural, but with easy access to Kelso and the borders. The dogs loved the enclosed garden, and the humans loved the hot tub, views from the bench through the hedge, and the wildlife. The host was very friendly and responsive, but left us to ourselves during the stay. We would definitely like to come and stay again!

The property was fantastic and more than met our expectations and needs.

Big, roomy, lovely garden, Well povisioned with TVs and internet and radios and games. Spotless and comfy.

Minor problem with slats falling off bed, no big deal but needs repaired. (already like it, not done by us) Garden light and staircase light not working, minor inconvenience.

Beautiful, farm cottage. Great place to get away from it all

Beautiful setting on a farm. Quiet and an excellent place to get away from it all. The Lodge was very spacious, clean, comfortable, lots of kitchen utensils. Ideal base for exploring the Borders. Lovely walks around the farm for dog walking. Excellent hosts who were close by on hand. Would definitely recommend and would love to return.

An ensuite but that's just being picky. Everything else was fabulous.

Beautiful scenery and cottage

The cottage is beautiful and very spacious , everything catered for inside There is plenty garden space with a picket fence around to secure small children or dogs The views are spectacular and very relaxing Kelso is a short car journey providing a supermarket and shops in the market area Floors castle was a great day out Hosts are friendly and helpful

One double bed had a very firm mattress which would benefit from a topper to soften it

Weekend away!

The whole cottage is lovely, decorated so nice and lovely bits or the kids to play with. Will definitely be coming back.

Nothing at all it was perfect, if I was to say anything maybe add a hot tub.
