First time staying in the Borders, and found the perfect accommodation

Beautiful property in a beautiful location close enough to the centre of Melrose Within walking distance, great location for enjoying all that the Borders has to offer from outdoor activities to wonderful food and unique shopping. We ate out mainly but facilities within the property allowed us to cook a Sunday dinner and full Scottish Breakfast 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 so the best of both worlds

Lovely stay, cosy house , quiet setting , near to Melrose town .

Clean , comfortable beds, warm, quiet location, 15 min walk to town . Be aware no path on main roads outside property or street lights for about 200 yds towards Melrose until reach streets nearby . Worth taking a torch if going out on evening , some small amounts of traffic on road .

A great location for exploring the Scottish borders. Overall very comfortable, just a few niggles.

Location fantastic. Hosts lovely and accommodating. Beds v comfortable. Good sized rooms. Very pet friendly. Boiler wasn't working on arrival so no hot water, however Donald remedied the situation promptly and arranged for a plumber the following morning.

Cleanliness, poor to downstairs. Lots of cobwebs around beams, furniture and light fittings. Crockery and kitchen utensils dirty. Plates and cups with chips in. Main bedroom door almost impossible to open or close as trapping on carpet. Same with wardrobes. Poor access into Melrose by foot as no defined pathway from property and have to walk on road which is winding and dangerous for several hundred yards.

A perfect stay. Such lovely accomodation and hosts. The cottage was everything I could have wished for and in such a pleasant and peaceful location. Facilities were great, including good quality wifi. Very good value for money.

Fantastic property - both inside and out. Spacious, comfortable rooms - very welcoming and homely.

A wonderful cottage, totally met all of our expectations. We were very impressed with the beautiful, dog friendly garden and an unexpected added bonus to waken to the morning chorus of the birds in the many trees surrounding the cottage. We were visiting friends in the area for Easter weekend, but would certainly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat, with very easy access to Melrose and the other Scottish Border towns. The cottage is very homely and comfortable with everything provided to make our stay enjoyable. Too many highlights but the comfy beds, every kitchen utensil you could possibly need, a tasty welcome basket and the impressive water pressure in the shower are worthy of a mention too! We hope to visit again soon.

Not a judgement by any means, but as the cottage is dog friendly, perhaps supply of a couple of stainless steel dog bowls for anyone who doesn't bring their own, as we did.

Lovely cottage. Kitchen very well equipped .Lovely location. Quiet and comfortable. We will be back again. It is quite a walk to melrose but we enjoyed that aspect. Fantastic walks around area. Really nice sized rooms and very comfortable beds. Very good shower. Ideal for 4 people as plenty of space.

Bring games if you like that sort of thing. Need a dust pan or at least we didn't find it. Perhaps some walking guides or booklets.
