Wonderful week long stay in Kelso!

Easy to find and the location was perfect in town center. Parking was a breeze and easy to drive in and out of the housing area. Close walk to pubs and other stores. Comfortable beds and couch in a beautifully arranged house. The large Samsung smart TV in the living room/kitchen area was perfect size to watch streamed movies. Communication with the housing agency was quick via emails and Booking.com messages.

Not really huge issues that I brought up with the housing agency where both front and back doors stick when trying to open and close. Possible due to changing weather? I managed getting in and out of house after playing a bit with the doors. They stay secured when locked. Also it’s getting colder at night now so I figured out the radiator heating settings in the upstairs closet.

Disappointing and not the standard we would have expected

The location was good. Just a short walk in to Kelso and hear restaurants and places of interest

The list is huge. The property was described as a luxury home. It may have been at one time but from the moment we arrived and couldn’t find the entrance we had reservations. From dirty, full outside bins to old food from previous guests in the freezer our expectations hit rock bottom when we checked out the small downstairs bedroom in particular. The room was sparsely furnished with no bedside lamp. I had to purchase one myself to be able to read comfortably. On heading to bed later that evening I pulled back the quilt to discover that the bed obviously hadn’t been changed since the last guests had left. The sheet was disgusting, but on removing the bedding the protective cover was even more disgusting. I slept on bathroom towels with my coat over me. Despite numerous messages to the agency who manage the property I am still waiting for a response 2 weeks later. I had to buy my own bedding to be able to sleep there for the rest of my holiday. Luckily the rooms upstairs were decent which meant that my friend and her daughter were able to get a decent sleep. My friends daughter has special needs and found it very distressing when things like the toilet seat and toilet roll holder fell apart. Even the glass kettle in the kitchen could have done with a proper clean. All in all I have never been so disappointed in a home before. I am 60+ years of age and have stayed in accommodation across the U.K., Europe and America and have never had any need to write a bad review about a property but my disappointment at the Old Fire Station and the response (or lack of it) from Pillow Partners, even after numerous chances to respond to my concerns, has left me no choice. This property was not fit for our stay, over priced and had the cheek to charge us an additional £120 cleans fee.

Enjoyable, excellent location for the centre of Kelso.

The kitchen equipment is rather sparse ie no jugs, dishwasher but no tablets provided, more pans and oven to tableware required and crockery we were a family of 5 and struggled with preparing a meal.

Back door to property was very stiff to both unlock and lock. Front bedroom had road noise.

Great base for exploring Kelso and surrounding areas.

Great location, very central. Lovely house, very modern and well equipped.

No mirror in upstairs bathroom. Could do with a full-length mirror in main bedroom and a small dressing table in 2nd double bedroom. These are just small observations and the facilities were generally very good. Inside the property wa lovely and very well decorated but outside could do with a lick of paint!

Property notes need to be more explicit regarding parking. Neighbours told us the space adjacent rear door is not an authorised space. Actual designated space is around the corner - not obvious to visitors.

The apartment was impecably clean, modern and in a prime location to market square Bathrooms were modern and clean, one with bath one with Shower. Bedrooms were large and bright

No mention of entry by rear patio doors, couldnt find key fob and had to ring agency and cleaner, finally gained access by asking neighbour. No welcome pack, no instructions on where microwave was and no instructions for tv. No thermostate in hallway Bedding linen was old and duvet was split

The holiday was ruined for one of our group of three owing to scrimping on the 3rd bed.

The accommodation is described as a 5 person unit. Two double beds are perfect but the third single was a disaster and not fit for purpose. The bed collapsed on the first night and the guest had to move the below standard matrass at 2:30 in the morning and sleep on the floor. The complaint was taken up by Pillowtalk who said that the bed would be either repaired (again) or changed for a decent one. The bed was repaired but it was still not acceptable and the guest had to spend the rest of his holiday, 3 days, trying to sleep on a very bad rickety bed. Disgusting treatment.

Modern, comfortable, beautifully presented accommodation in a convenient location in Kelso.

The keys were in a key safe. The decor was clean and modern and very attractive. The beds were very comfortable. Towels and bed linen provided. A welcome pack with ingredients for a cup of tea/coffee and toast/biscuits was provided. Wifi in all areas and satellite TV.

There was some uncertainty as to how we might have access to the property, but in the end it was fine. Parking was tight and would have been worse if all units were occupied.
