The apartment is in an ideal position to explore Kelso and the surrounding area. It was exceptionally clean and well maintained with extra features to make us feel welcome. Beds very comfortable and kitchen is well equipped.

Wonderful getaway,

Loved everything. the decor, the furnishings, the quality of the bed linen and really fluffy towels. The sensitive restoration of the property. The location is central, very central and a delightful town to visit. Tried immediatly to rebook however my dates were not available. Would really recommend. Well worth leaving home for.

Mmmm I was unable to open the bedroom windows but considering the age of the original windows - I got over myself! THe owner provides superb fans that generate a soothing breeze.

Gorgeous Kelso Flat

This is without a doubt the best holiday property on Booking.com that we have ever stayed in! A superb Victorian two bedroomed flat which was absolutely stunning! Exquisite decor, top of the range appliances and high quality towels and bed linen. The flat was beautifully clean and tidy and incredibly spacious! The added extra of toiletries in the bathroom were such a thoughtful gesture, we have not experienced that in other places we have stayed. Perfectly located a stone's throw from Kelso town square, there are some fabulous shops to explore and a very good selection of places to eat out. We would definitely recommend U Café on Roxburgh Street, their breakfast menu is heavenly, the vegan haggis breakfast ciabatta with mushrooms is delicious! The Cross Keys Hotel in the square does really tasty evening meals too and is well worth a visit. We were here for the start of Civic Week so there was lots going on. We enjoyed seeing the Kelso Laddie and all the other riders returning to the town in the evenings after their rides out to various places. The owners have genuinely taken the time and effort to make 8C Roxburgh Street as homely as possible and it was truly appreciated. We would have stayed forever if we could! We would whole heartedly recommend this stunning property. You will not be disappointed!

Two sets of stairs up to the flat (one quite steep and a smaller spiral staircase) were not a problem for us but potentially could be for some guests. Also the traffic going past outside on the cobbles can be noisy at night and early in the morning if you're not used to it. We have stayed in Kelso many times before so we were aware of the traffic noise.
