About this cottage rental
A former dairy building, our cottage has been lovingly upgraded to provide spacious accommodation described by recent guests as 'a hidden gem'. With its own private garden, glorious walks from the front door and high quality furnishings it really is a 'sublime hideaway' (as described by another recent guest). Wine and other little treats greet your arrival. Suitable for couples and dogs welcome. Further info: The cottage has been lovingly converted from a former stable building. We take pride in how beautiful it is looking. Dogs are welcome but must not sit on the furniture and the guests must treat the property with due respect. A total of 2 adults + 1 other occupants (bearing in mind that the extra bed is a 5ft sofa bed) is the maximum number of guests at one time. The property is a No Smoking property. There is however outdoor furniture provided and an attractive terrace area where this is permitted.
There will be plenty of gas supplied for hot water and heating (gas bottles safely stored to rear of property). Sometimes the boiler has difficulty drawing in a new supply but do not worry if this happens. Please turn the hot water tap on in the bathroom, light a gas hob in the kitchen, wait for 30 seconds and then simply press the ignite (🔥) button on the boiler which is in the bathroom cupboard.
There is a WiFi password provided for fast WiFi. This is required for WhatsApp calling. There is no mobile reception at the property itself but the WiFi ensures you can call and message at all times.
I will leave you in peace to enjoy your stay but am contactable either via messaging or by knocking on the main house door should you ever need me.

The setting is lovely and peaceful, the house is comfortable, clean, well-equipped, and attractive, and we highly recommend it as a place to stay near Kelso.

We enjoyed our stay at this very cosy cottage. We could relax in the peace and quiet after our buzzy days. Our welcome pack was much appreciated after a long drive to get here. The garden was great for our dog to enjoy too. It was warm enough to sit out for a cup of tea too. Thank you for everything.
