ID Stay Kawaguchiko

Mt Fuji view from two bedrooms (each with a balcony), the second floor landing, the living room, outside the property. This is the sort of property one would want to stay in because when we were there, Fuji was covered in clouds most of the day and only cleared up at 5pm -- so it helps that we were able to monitor whether the mountain was visible. The property was huge (there were only five of us) and could very well accommodate 10 people. The dining table was a proper table, the kitchen was complete, the plates and bowls were china (not plastic). It felt like home. It was also very clean. There were three bedrooms on the second floor with beds and two on the first floor with futons. The house is located about 8 minutes walk from Kawaguchiko station and was easy to find based on the instructions given by the host (with pictures) and a link to Google maps. It is situated in a residential area, so it's very quiet. The pictures on the property listing were accurate; the property is actually bigger than what it looks from the pictures.

It only had one shower; would have been perfect if there were two. But at least it had two toilets (one of the first floor, another on the second floor), and a sink on the second floor where you could brush your teeth and wash your face. The bidet on one of the toilets was not working when we arrived but we managed to fix it by unplugging and then plugging it back on the wall electric socket (we messaged the property about this but they said they will let the cleaners know when we check out the next day -- we stayed only overnight).

Nice to have some room after hotel room sizes!

Would have liked tea and coffee provided plus salt and pepper!
