Location is wonderful and Emiliano and his Grandmother are wonderful hosts who will do their utmost to make you stay the best it can be. They provide PLENTY to eat and to do and even get discounts for the local tourist card provided to you

This particular room (#4) is nice and clean but it is small and the walls are thin. You share the building with other guests and the main door can be quite loud coming and going from the building. Also, the balcony opens up to a main walkway and guests can see into the room if you don’t have drapes pulled

We love Riomaggiore!

The location was fantastic! Central to train station and marina. The house was secure. Plenty of cafes around. Emi, the host gave us so much information that was invaluable. He basically mapped out an itinerary for our 3 day stay and gave us so many tips on where to ear, where to go, what transport you use etc. he was able to sell us the Cinque Terre transport card.

There were 4 of us adults and it was just too squashy in the room which was disappointing. I would suggest it would be good for max 3 people, as long as one was a small child. Whilst the bathroom was very big, the shower was quite small

Between the actual space and hosts, this was an amazing stay!

The location was amazing! Being right in the town of Riomaggiore was perfect. Being slightly off the Main Street reduced noise at night but we were just a few steps from shops and restaurants

More surfaces for putting items on would be nice, for example in the bathroom, there was a lot of open space that would have been nice to have a table or shelf so we could place toiletries or towels

Beautiful coastal view in Riomaggiore

The view is incredible and the location is excellent! Very comfortable accommodation. The staff are very friendly and helpful in offering to book reservations for dinners and recommend nearby attractions and itineraries. Would recommend to anyone visiting Cinque Terre!

Perfect pkace to enjoy Cinque Terre

The location of the property is perfect due to various reasons - convenient proximity from the train station, great views of the town and the sea, proximity to the center of the town. It has a balcony where you can seat in the evenings and mornings. It isn’t big but who would spend time in such beautiful place. The real assets are hosts - Emiliano and his Mother. They are absolutely wonderful - helpful in all possible situations, from directions on arrival to different suggestions on how to spend your time in the area. So don’t rush buying online different tickets, cards but listen to Emiliano’s hints and tips.

Only one suggestion maybe - kettle to boil water maybe would be helpful.

The owner and her son were amazing! Super helpful and quick to reply to message :). They arranged for a wine tour for us and it was the highlight of our trip ❤️ the location is the best. Just up above the main area, super easy for walking around but getting away from the crowds.

Spectacular view, central location.

The rooms have balconies overlooking the sea, absolutely spectacular. Great for coffee in the morning and a glass of wine in the evening. The hosts assisted with dinner reservations as we were a large group.

Excellent stay with spectacular views

I loved the location of this stay! It was very clean and it had great views of the town and the sea. It was only a short walk to both the station and town. The owner was very helpful with navigating to the property and using the free public lift to reach the place from the train station. They also advised us about ferry/train/walk passes and good restaurants which made everything so easy!

The host (Emiliano) was incredibly informative and helpful in introducing us to the area. The location of the hotel was perfect to dip into Riomaggiore and also close to the train station. We felt safe and comfortable within the town.

Although not necessary, it would be a nice touch to provide some toiletries and bottled water.

Remarkably unpleasant

View

Very angry and upset owner because we didn’t arrive on time. Difficult to find. Complicated check in. Thankfully some people other than the owner helped us. Parking was near impossible. No one on site so we just had to ask strangers but we don’t speak Italian. Owner gave us no helpful information like the wi-fi password or even so much as a smile.

Very welcoming

The stay way amazing. Emiliano called us as soon as we got off the train to make sure that we walked the easiest way from the station to the hotel (this saved us a lot of steps with heavy suitcases). She also made reservations for us at the best restaurants in Riomaggiore and we got great tables with sea views. Room was large, had basic amenities and a separate private bathroom. Was very comfortable.

Great location. One of the owners came to meet us and was incredibly helpful. He booked reservations at the best local restaurants for us and gave us some great ideas for our stay. Beautiful views. Close to everything, in a Cinque Terre way (stairs!).

Everything was great, except that we didn't have coffee cups in the room. We probably could have gotten some, they were incredibly helpful. We just didn't bother asking because we were too busy. It was 99 steps down to the water, until the town fixed the elevator. But hey, in Cinque Terre, stairs are expected.

Exceptional service and a perfect place to stay for a few days in riomaggiore.

Maristella and Emiliano went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful stay at their property. From checking in with us the day before, to giving us the best tips for easy access to the property with bags, booking us into the best restaurants with best tables - it truly was exceptional service. The place was exactly what we needed - clean and comfortable with beautiful sea views. Everything was as advertised. We highly recommend La Baia Di Rio and will be telling friends and family to visit for sure!

A fabulous stay in Riomaggiore!

Loved the view...first & foremost and would say it's definitely worth booking the room just for that! The room was small, but comfortable. The location from the train station with the elevator was ideal. We didn't have to schlep with our backpacks for miles! Emiliano was very friendly, gave us lots of good information and even made us dinner reservations the first night. Overall, it was a great stay!

The shower is very narrow getting in/out of and you had to step up, so it could be an issue for some people.
