This property was spacious, comfortable and a relaxing space to return to after a few hours sight seeing!

The property was really spacious with great facilities for cooking and the beds were very comfortable. It was in a quiet residential area but was just a few minutes walk from the main square. We met the host and he was very friendly and gave us some suggestions about where to eat.

Lovely home

Perfect stay for a group. Had plenty of space and all utilities we required. Easy to check in with code and short walk into city centre. Hosts were lovely. Would absolutely recommend.

FYI, Shower facilities are located in main bedroom.

Love HamiltonHouse 🙂

Second visit here, which may tell its own story: this is a great place. Generous, well-lit space, well-equipped kitchen, big and comfy beds, great location for the centre of Bruges (10min walk to main square) but also quiet and near small but quite good supermarket (and a great local bar, the Red Hunter). Also great value compared to other properties of similar size and location.

Nothing, all good! (But worth knowing that the bathroom/shower is located off one of the bedrooms (toilet is separate and always accessible to everyone) and the upper bedroom is open to the stairs (but all other rooms have doors, so only to the stairs). We are a family group so this is fine for us but, like I say, worth knowing in case it matters more to you.)

Really good place to stay. I would stay an again.

Our host was extremely kind and responded to questions. Giving good recommendations. The kitchen and house on the whole was well equipped and was very comfortable. The location is superb for visiting Bruges. A short walk from everywhere, but quiet. One can catch a bus to the train station from one road away.

The shower takes a bit of organising ,as it one bedroom, but we knew that when we booked.

Comfortable house in a great location, but some logistical challenges for families.

Outstanding location offering a short walk into central Bruges. Comfortable living and sleeping with a clean, functional kitchen.

No soap in the toilet sink for washing hands, and almost none in the bathroom sink. The bathroom has no door and adjoins the master bedroom, which proved challenging logistically for two adults and two teenage kids to navigate shower and dressing arrangements. Even a basic curtain across the bathroom enclosure for privacy would help.

It was a perfect location. 5 min walk to the main square, but on a quiet street. It was comfortable and pretty, with many extras provided. Wonderful rainfall shower head. Everything was charming. Best rental experience.

Perfect start to an adventure in Belgium.

This place was amazing. Centrally located. Beautifully decorated, so Zen. Bright and airy. Lots of coffee and every kitchen gadget and supples you could ever need. Hated to leave. But adventure calls !

Wonderful stay in Bruges, and so glad that chose it as one of the 3 cities to visit.

Nicely furnished living room and dining room on 1st floor, very comfortable master bedroom on 2nd floor, adequate bedroom on 3rd floor. Raphael, the host, was easy to communicate with, and offered suggestions about Bruges. He provided 2 bikes for our use, and we easily rented 2 more, and had a marvelous bike ride to Damme (5 mi away) and Sluis (5 mi further). along a canal and in the beautiful Belgian countryside. Fans provided for the summer heat. House is in a great location.

We were 4, our 2 granddaughters were in the bedroom on the 3rd floor, and we took the master bedroom. The shower was on the other side of the master bedroom, and so, was reachable by others only by walking through the master bedroom. A toilet and sink were located on a landing outside of the master bedroom, where it was accessible from either bedroom.

A delightful stay that was well worth the extra money for us, especially with our particular group.

It was a very comfortable and well-furnished apartment that was also perfect for our travel situation with two bedrooms. The location was great, with easy access by bus to the train station, and elsewhere by foot.

The steep narrow stairway was a little bit of a challenge for my spouse who had recently injured her knee, but it was only a minor inconvenience for us. People with serious mobility issues will probably want to know that is the only way up to either of the bedrooms.

Would not recommend due to racist host

Location of property was good. Fairly comfortable although not very clean.

The host of this property was extremely rude and racist which was unfortunate. This host has particularly prejudice against people from the UK and made it awkward to leave our bags for a few hours after checkout so we chose not to. They stated that ‘people from the UK’ were untrustworthy and reckless. Rafaelle is happy to take your money but not so easy to make your stay pleasant so be warned. Property was not cleaned thoroughly with earring butterfly found in the bed and several variety of hairs in the toilet. Not pleasant with groups of more than 2 as only 1 toilet and a shower in one of the bedrooms that doesn’t have a door.

Great base for exploring Bruges

We just finished our week long stay and it was wonderful. For this length of stay it was very nice to have a house to stay in rather than a hotel room. Having a well equipped kitchen, dishwasher and washer/dryer were very helpful. The beds and pillows were quite comfortable. Good WiFi and even a nice selection of English TV channels. The house is well located. Everything in Bruges is within walking distance but being just a bit off the main square meant it was a quiet, peaceful location. Raphael was very helpful with area suggestions and quickly responded to any communications.

Hamilton House stay

A perfect location. Beautifully furnished and equipped. The house contained everything you could possibly need. Raphael, the owner, was helpful, charming, and welcoming. If I visited Bruges again I would stay here everytime! The Blackbird cafe (vegan) just 2 mins away was perfect for breakfast.
