Reasonably priced, good location, had everything you need for a couple of nights stay. Coffee pods and tea bags provided and a small shower gel and shampoo. Bed was comfy and the room was warm.
The stairs to the attic room were extremely steep, we are a fit couple in our early 30’s and thought they were dodgy. There was also no door on the bathroom and the toilet smelt of sewage, which meant with it being a studio room the whole room smelt a bit, and there was zero privacy when using the bathroom. The room was also quite dusty.

All was amazing!

We really liked the room. It was clean and felt as comfortable as our own bedroom. The bathroom and shower were excellent.
No real negatives. The staircase is quite steep and narrow, but it’s no issue as long as you’re not carrying a heavy suitcase.

Loved the location. Very easy walk to the center of town.
A little smaller than I thought it was going to be. No clothes iron.

The description of the hotel on Booking is very confused and it difficult to figure out which pictures actually show the room one is to be staying in. The descriptive details like parquet floors and walk-in shower are true, but there are many important details that are not described that present unpleasant surprises. This review refers to what is called the queen studio. That is shown, with very partial views, in the pictures with the black wall and slanted ceiling. This room under the roof might actually be 29 square meters, but you cannot stand up in half of that area. The highest part is mostly occupied by the opening for the stairs, necessarily safeguarded by a high black railing. The first flight of stairs to this room is narrow and curved; coming up the second, one has to watch ones head, the steps are narrow and steep. Normal for a traditional house in Bruges, but not possible for many older people. Even if one has no problem actually getting up and down those stairs, getting your luggage up there is a feat. On the other hand, many have complained about mosquitoes - I don't believe you can blame a hotel for insects in the area, but if you want to avoid or diminish their presence, you can't open the windows - not an option during the august heat. It is understandable that a room under the roof would be hot, but the lack of air-conditioning in such circumstances is a problem. There is a fan, but that would only cool the room if you do open the windows at night. The room was clean, but it's very structure implies dust and cobwebs in some areas of the beams - you get a good view of that when you try to plug in your devices into the few sockets, all located in the area where the roof is so low that you hardly fit kneeling or sitting on the floor.
The walk-in shower looks nice, especially if you are partial to gold, but it is not possible to use it without water sprinkling and leaking onto the floor of the rest of the bathroom. Not a huge problem, it will dry, but a dangerously slippery. The bathroom as such (shower and toilet) does not have any sort of door - not a feature to everyone's liking. The sink is outside. The only mirror is above that sink, quite high for a short person, and without sufficient light to actually see your face. Not possible for applying your lipstick, for instance. Not great for shaving either. Some people might find the decore curious, but the many porcelain or ceramic figures (on the shelves, above the bed, on the floor) might be art to some and a nuisance to others. The downstairs areas do not invite use because they are small and crowded by furniture, objects of all sorts, and bags of laundry from prior clients' stay.

The location was great. Walking distance to all areas. The location was quiet. We were in the attic apartment. It was very nice but had very steep stairs going up.

The location of the building was great.
Our room was in the loft, not ideal for tall people. The stairs are noisy, steep, narrow and uncomfortable. The doors are squeaky. Needs clarity that the patio is not part of the room but is shared on the ground floor.

Cozy loft location with modern design. The room is very tastefully decorated to a very high standard. Check in and check out was easy and very flexible.
For taller people, the loft design can be uncomfortable. The bathroom does not have a door. The mini fridge did not work properly and was noisy.

The bathroom was beautiful and relly clean.
The view from the windows was amazing.
The bed sheets had a little scar but nothing serious.

Fully renovated room in an old building. Very comfy bed and great bathroom. We liked the attention given to the decoration. Location not too far from the city center.
As it is an old building, we could hear in the morning the noise from people coming in and out of their rooms, noise from neighbors walking on the floors and noise from the traffic outside.

This property it’s better than his logo “ home in Bruges “, it’s in fact a “ little hotel boutique “ ….everything it’s so nice that a few ideas I will implement at home .
I only have one concern : for us travelers from America It’s a problem not having a 220 W charger for our phones and tablets . I asked for one but the property didn’t have one available and that put me in a little trouble . I think a charger plug is as important as coffee maker.

Fantastic Location. Charming little garden. Excellent shared facilities on the ground floor. Really helpful owner. Advice about parking was great and we even found a ev charger at the end of the street opposite the property. Would definitely recommend and hope to visit again.
Nothing.

The room was nicely finished but needed additional items eg plates, bowls for longer stay. We found these in ground floor room but unsure if this room intended for guests. Host most helpful
Loft room with steep staircase made it very difficult to access with 23kg case

I liked everything; the hosts were very friendly and always responsive when we had to contact them.
The wifi connection was ok, the room was fantastic and the bathroom was a dream!
I really recommend this place for a beautiful trip in Bruges!
There was nothing I didn't like.

Great location, nicely appointed room, comfortable bed.

Wonderfully furnished apartment, comfortable bed and a fantastic bath in the lower apartment. The host was very helpful on check-in.. all in all a great experience.
A small issue was that with all the wooden floors you can hear people coming up the stairs / walking around above extremely loudly. Still this didn't massively affect our experience.

Good location: quite close to the city center but already in the quite area. Room and bathroom is newly renovated and it was really good to stay in old house with modern furniture and facilities. We could leave our luggage in the house after check out which was really convenient to do.
I didn't fully used shared kitchen as I planned because I was asked to clean it after using, so we just used plates and washed it. It could be nice to have breakfast at least in the kitchen - not in the room with only coffee table.

Great location and superb decorations. kitchen area was also useful for hot drinks etc…
Stairs will be an issue for anyone with bad knees! pillows could have been a lot firmer.

We loved our stay here in Bruges! Mike was an excellent host and was very helpful with recommendations of things to do/places to see whilst visiting the city, as well as providing directions to free parking spots nearby. The location is excellent, a short 5 minute walk into the main centre. The room itself was perfect, a giant comfy bed, good storage space and a stunning bathroom. We would definitely recommend staying here and will definitely look to stay here again if we ever come back to Bruges! 10/10
Everything was excellent, from the room itself, to Mike’s hosting.

I liked having a warm and comfortable studio walking distance from the main streets. Towels were fluffy and I appreciated the bottles of water and cheese and worst in the fridge. Good communication with owner.
Soft pillows and the coffee machine’s water container needed cleaning.

great location, very close to everything. Mike the owner was very attentive and helpful!
minor things but the pillows were a bit soft for our taste and oddly there is no door on the toilet!

I stayed in the attic room for 2 nights and absolutely loved it. The design is cool, the room was modern and cozy and had everything you need. The shower was nicely designed. The roof windows were handy. Loved the statues around the place.
It would be nice to have a little safety gate/door right at the top of the staircase just so you don't accidentally fall in as it is very steep staircase. It's ok once you get used to it and its a very minor thing.
