diverse alpine world, quiet location, imposing mountain scenery

Couldn't be happier! If you want all that Grindelwald has to offer without the tourist-mobbed circus of "downtown", I can't recommend this apartment enough. Great, open living space. Amazing deck, with a retractable awning, to enjoy the extraordinary view, rain or shine. Perfectly quiet to enjoy the birds chirping and the cow bells clanking. A quick couple minutes by the free bus to get into town. Comfortable beds. Fully stocked kitchen/et al: Unlike many other places we've stayed, this one provided ample supplies (towels, toilet paper, paper towels, foil, plastic wrap, garbage bags, dishwasher pods, even coffee maker pods!). Hosts are responsive and caring. Thank you Stefan for letting us stay in your home!

Clean and accommodating.

This place is absolutely fabulous and peaceful. It has gorgeous views (better than the pictures). The beds were comfortable. It was clean and well stocked. It was walkable and also an easy bus ride to town. Our family had a great time. I was very happy with this booking and would like to stay here again.

Excellent place to stay in Grindelwald, just out of the main village (so quiet), and with epic views of the Eiger. Well-equipped, loads of space, great wifi, and Stefan the host is very helpful. Would love to stay again.

Very clean apartment with an amazing view off the deck of the surrounding mountains. This is a top rate vrbo. We really enjoyed our stay in Grindelwald. The kitchen is well stocked. There was great communication with the property owner. 5 stars all the way around!

It was an awesome trip. The chalets was nice and inviting. Had a couple of questions and Stefan responded promptly. Was very helpful.

Good location, ideal for access to mountains and Grindlewald itself, with access to walks literally from the doorstep. Stunning views from the property too. Made for an excellent base for a week alkingand exploring the area.

Comfortable and nicely kept property. It is quite a way from the center of town. Free parking, so if you have a car, that's perfect. If you are taking the bus, get the schedule ahead of time (they run regularly, but with gaps between) or walk! But it's a decent way. I think it's worth the walk! This is my second time staying here!

Tidy place, away from the bustle of town, with a great view

The property is well equipped and has two double bedrooms. It is a good option for two couples traveling together. The patio has magnificent views facing the Eiger, the Schreckhorn and the Männlichen Plateau. There is free parking and th apartment is approximately 100 steps above the parking area.

The area is great just outside the touristy centre of Grindelwald. We were the only people staying in the building, so it was really quit...which we like. ;) Lovely views of the mountains! When we arrived there was a stale air/ smell in the appartment; maybe because it was completely closed for a while and it was pretty damp. We've opened all windows, but without insect screens it would allow all bugs to come inside. The smell went away in most areas of the appartment, so it was fine for us....maybe that's just normal for the altitude Grindelwald is in. Everything we needed was there....and more. There are games, books, Netflix/Prime app on the tv. The beds are comfortable...the pillows not so much. But we brought our own pillows anyway.

This place is incredible. From the living room to the bathroom( yes) you will have an amazing view. The spot is super comfortable and was beyond enjoyable to stay in.

The stay for everybody

Absolutely stunning views from the porch. Lovely place to sit. Place was very clean. A little far to walk to town, (and quite uphill) but bus works and stops close by. I would stay here again for SURE! (but don't try to walk to town)

Had great time at the condo. It’s just as described and pictures can’t do justice to the view from the back patio. Parents and two teens took off each day on hiking in region and came back exhausted to quiet location good for sleep/recovery.

The owner responds pretty quickly. The place was clean and accessible.The view from the apartment was amazing.There are a 100 steps but was worth it. Grindelwald was the best.

We stayed in the apartment for a week (2 adults, one child of 5 yrs old). The apartment was well furnished and comfortable. Environment is stunning and the lifts onto the mountains are closeby. Communication with Stefan was excellent and he was very helpful. I would recommend this apartment to anyone who is looking for comfort, quietness and beautiful nature.

Great view of the Mountains Eiger North face from the deck and livingroom. Easy access to the Buss, 3min. Walk. Very quiet appartment. Be aware there are 97 steps to the front door from the parking lot. Overall, we would highly recommend this place because of the beautiful view and the convenience of the overall appartment.

Clean, comfortable, well equipped to a modern standard. Fabulous views of the Eiger and Grindelwald bowl from the terrace and main bedroom. Property was ideal for our family of four including two older teenage girls. Worth noting there are 97 steps from the car park to the apartment although this wasn’t an issue for us. Overall thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would return.

We very much enjoyed our visit to Grindelwald and our stay in Stefan’s apartment. The location is easily accessible by public transit and a short walk. The apartment is well appointed for self-catering, the beds are comfortable and the views are amazing!

We had a wonderful stay in this lovely apartment. The apartment (or house) has everything you could wish for, from the washing machine to the state-of-the-art TV. It was spacious, newly furnished, and very comfortable. And it is in a beautiful location: right next door starts a meadow that smells of freshly mown grass; from the living room window front you see right onto the Oberer Gletscher. We were glad to be able to use the designated parking lot.

I had a wonderful experience in this lovely chalet with an amazing view. The owners recently refurbished the entire apartment with all new furnishings, kitchenware, new carpet, new paint etc. Effectively it was brand new! It was quiet the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom I had a very large and deep bathtub, which was great after a long day of hiking. Very quiet and a short distance into town and the COOP. The deck and retractable sunshade made for very comfortable outdoor living in as well. We travel to Europe several times a year and use Airbnb or HomeAway exclusively and in our travels have never found a place as nicely appointed as this one, especially for the price point. Public bus transport to the city and surrounding area is short walk just out front. However there is a private parking place provided. The owners, a brother and sister team were super easy to work with and were accessible and great to work with. I would gladly rent there again and recommend it to all travelers. Please note there are several stairs to get to the apartment which may not be well-suited for the elderly. Ich hatte eine wundervolle Erfahrung in diesem schönen Chalet mit einer herrlichen Aussicht. Die Besitzer haben vor kurzem die gesamte Wohnung mit allen neuen Möbeln, Geschirr, neuen Teppich, neue Farbe usw. renoviert. Wirklich war es ganz neu! Es war ruhig das Bett war sehr bequem und das Badezimmer hatte ich eine sehr große und tiefe Badewanne, was toll war nach einem langen Tag beim Wandern. Sehr ruhig und eine kurze Entfernung in die Stadt und die COOP. Das Deck und der versenkbare Sonnenschirm sorgen für einen sehr komfortablen Aufenthalt im Freien. Wir reisen mehrmals im Jahr nach Europa und nutzen Airbnb oder HomeAway exklusiv und auf unseren Reisen haben wir nie einen so gut ausgestatteten Platz gefunden, besonders für den Preis. Der öffentliche Busverkehr in die Stadt und die Umgebung ist nur einen kurzen Spaziergang entfernt. Es ist jedoch ein privater Parkplatz vorhanden. Die Besitzer, ein Bruder- und Schwesterteam, waren super einfach zu arbeiten und waren zugänglich und großartig, um damit zu arbeiten. Ich würde gerne wieder dort mieten und es allen Reisenden empfehlen. Bitte beachten Sie, dass mehrere Treppen zum Apartment führen, die für ältere Menschen möglicherweise nicht geeignet sind.
