Hidden gem

Very cosy little cottage in central Holmbridge and tastefully decorated too. Perfect base to explore the area or to attend a course at the Sculpture Lounge, as I did. Kitchen equipment, bedding, towels and even teabags all supplied. Definitely recommend staying if you're single, a couple or small family. Parking on the road nearby was easy too and the owners were very friendly and helpful and communicated well.

Main bed was on castors, uncomfortable polyester bedding, bathroom cabinet over the small sink made cleaning teeth difficult.

Great cottage for couples or couples with small children.

Lovely, well-maintained cottage. Info/photos on location given by owners were crucial, especially as address would not come up on satnav. Beautiful little garden outside the cottage door.

Charming cosy cottage in Last of Summer Wine country.

Good value cottage with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Good communication from owners. Very quiet, virtually no traffic, just a couple of Tawny Owls, which were delightful. Highly recommended.⁹

Only a rudimentary local shop for food. As I was travelling by bicycle a journey was required. Bear in mind if no car. About 30 min walk to Holmfirth centre.

A home from home.

The decor and comfort were amazing. The look, feel and ambience made it a very pleasant stay. The host was friendly and approachable. The facilities themselves were clean and maintained. We loved it very much.

Some areas could do with a clean. A hoover might be helpful for children crumbs. Otherwise a lovely place!

Good place to stay for few nights without children.

I like this place because it was clean and good enough space for three people. It has only one bathroom but we could take turns to use it. It was warm and the radiator was working.

It was an hour away driving from Peak District. As it is an old cottage the stairs and floor were a bit noisy in the nights when everyone needed to sleep. The owner doesn’t provide the time check in and check out information from the beginning before we did the booking and after we did the booking, the owner told us the check out was very early 10am. Usually the check out is 11am or noon. Because as guests we do prefer to enjoy a bit more time sleeping as it’s holiday and we don’t to wake up early to have breakfast and get ready our luggages. So it was an issue the check out time for us. I would say this place was fair.

We loved our two nights stay at Crosland Cottage and looking forward to returning in the future.

Crosland Cottage had everything we needed for our two night stay. It’s a really cosy and warm cottage, which has lovely views of the valley to appreciate. The kitchen is really well equipped and the bed was really comfy.

Lovely rural location. Cosy, bijou cottage full of history. Perfect for a couple of nights and a small party of people. Library of books and some board games, too. Modern facilities throughout.

Kitchen area was very small though great for a couple. Would have liked a vegetable peeler.

it was as expected, being a small village there was limited access to shops, supermarkets

Quiet location suitable for single or couple.

Breakfast not included however a very basic welcome pack was available which included tea, coffee and milk. Cottage has period character however would be cramped if more than two people were staying and only two dining chairs available. Attention to detail such as ironed bedding would improve the general presentation.

Loveliest of locations, perfect for walkers, sweetest little cottage.

Sweetest little cottage, perfect for our Christmas stay close to family nearby. Hosts had put up a tree and decorations, which made it even more festive. A perfect spot.

An excellent base for our special immediate and extended family pre Xmas gathering near Holmfirth

About the property itself, there was nothing to dislike. However, despite detailed directions, we had difficulty finding the exact entrance in complete darkness. A light sensor and a numbered pointer (No.5) would’ve helped.

Nice and typical cottage in a quit residential area at Holmbridge. Full kitchen Equipment. For a longer stay a little bit too small for 2 adults and two Teens. Very beautiful hiking tracks near the house.

I liked everything. My partner didn't like the bed as it was to soft for him, but for me it was perfect.
