Amazing place , awesome staff , perfect bed , comfortable sheets and pillow! The house has a lot of space and very good amenities like big projector and quality sound around the house with a lot of options to choose from .

Luxury comfort in a quiet area within walking distance of all that Paraty has to offer.

The breakfast was second to none. The house and our sleeping quarters were very tastefully decorated. Irene who manages the property welcomed and communicated with guests in English and Denise, the property owner, welcomed us in French. The property is well situated, at walking distance of the old town and activities, but on the other side of the canal so it is calm and quiet.

Ideal for couples. While children are certainly welcomed and there is no shortage of books and movies, other pousadas nearby may have soccer pitches, volleyball courts, ping pong tables or other amenities for teenagers or children.

Nice place with lovely hostess

The heart and soul of this place is Irene, she couldn't do enough to ensure we had a comfortable stay. Breakfasts were delicious and there was something different to try every day.

The building is a little difficult to find as there are (at least) 2 different numbering systems on the street - if on foot cross on the green pedestrian footbridge then turn right towards the sea

Beautiful property, wonderful staff, amazing breakfast, close to historic centre.

I LOVED this place. The house is beautiful - it's like something out of an interiors magazine. So spacious and comfortable. Great wifi, gorgeous pool area, and amazing breakfast! And the housekeeper - Irene - is just wonderful. It's a 5 minute walk (maximum) along the river to the historic centre - this is a good thing! It means it's quiet and peaceful. Yes there are cheaper options in Paraty but you pay for what you get here. I would strongly recommend staying here and I really hope I can come back one day!

You have to stay here!

Everything! We had an absolutely amazing stay - we loved it so much we stayed 3 extra nights. We were made to feel very welcome in Denise's home, who gave us wonderful recommendations and invited us to join her yoga class at the hotel one morning. Irene was also exceedingly friendly and made sure we were well looked after, with delicious breakfasts and homemade cakes. The hotel was exceptionally clean. Our bedroom was huge, and beautifully presented - the most comfortable bed we've ever slept in! We also had access to a cosy living area, fridge and the beautiful terrace and pool. The location was also great - very quiet, and only a 10 minute walk to the historic centre.

That we had to leave! We will definitely be recommending Tropical Contemporary Suites to all our friends.

Perfect weekend in Paraty!

stunning architecture and decoration, extremely well located closed to the city centre. they also provided great recommendations for restaurants and activities. we did a boat tour through one of their contacts and had an amazing day! Irene made sure we had everything we needed and was extremely nice and attentive, and prepared a great breakfast. would recommend.

Live in an interior design dream for a week- or at least a weekend.

Well, where do I start!? This place is AMAZING! The design, the staff, the energy- it’s like you’re living in a luxury home rather than a posada or hotel. Which initially confused me a bit, there’s no reception so we literally got a room in this exclusive villa. So at first it felt like an Airbnb room but once we settled in, it wasn’t a room in a family house, we were one couple out of 3 (5 is max capacity I believe). It did feel like a boutique hotel. Unique experience and beautiful design details EVERYWHERE. The owners sure trust its guests not to take any ‘souvenirs’ from the hotel, some things a VERY expensive. I’m into interior design so this was paradise for me. 5 min walk to the shopping street and 7 min to the historic part, it’s a nice walk so I loved the location.

Impossible to dislike something. I’ve never seen such a beautiful place.

Tropical indeed - nice architecture project - good location

Everything was really great. Good location, walking distance to the historic center, the room was very spacious and comfortable, breakfast done by Irene was tasteful. And the house itself is a nice architecture project. Incorporating tropical plants into the garden and outside area. Nice books you can borrow and welcoming pool to chill after the hot days at the beach.

We love all the facilities at the hotel: the room was spacious, ventilated and very well decorated, wonderful bathroom, balcony, living / TV rooms and the pool area. everything perfect! Their attention to guests was excellent, making you feel "at home".

Muito boa! Recomendamos muito.

Conforto, quartos muito amplos e com localização excelente. A decoração dos ambientes é de muito bom gosto e traz muito aconchego. Os quartos são excelentes, muito limpos e com roupas de cama de ótima qualidade, o que traz ainda mais conforto.

Única ponderação que podemos fazer é sobre uma “taxa” de R$100,00 que nos foi cobrada no momento em que chegamos, uma vez que chegamos após as 20h. Chegamos às 20:30h e nos foi informado somente no local que essa taxa era devida. Tendo em vista o valor da diária que não é barato, não achamos razoável o valor cobrado.

Férias em família

A pousada é linda, muito bem decorada. Café da manhã bom. A localização é ótima, da pra ir a pé para o centro histórico. Roberta foi muito acolhedora e simpática.

As regras são rígidas, a pousada não está preparada para receber crianças. Pedimos a late checkout, foi negado sob o argumento que outros hospedes estariam chegando. Mas tivemos um imprevisto em nosso passeio e acabamos chegando tarde, outros hóspedes não chegaram e ainda assim tivemos que tomar banho na ducha gelada da piscina para viajarmos ( com duas crianças), mesmo com o bw quente disponível. Pedimos para deixarmos nosso carro na pousada para almoçarmos, eram 16:00, estávamos sem comer desde o café e, também nos foi negado. Na saída não tivemos sequer ajuda com as malas. Também tivemos outros contratempos que não foram administrados de forma leve pela pousada. Hóspedes não podem usar a cozinha, as toalhas da praia são brancas e o fato destas chegarem com areia não é bem visto.

O estacionamento é bem pequeno e pode pedir alguma organização para que os carros não atrapalhem uns aos outros, mas nada que tenha sido desconfortável ou incômodo.

Tamanho dos quartos, da cama e do banheiro. É uma casa que é utilizada como pousada e você fica bem integrado com os demais hóspedes. A atenção da Roberta foi excepcional. Ótimos sucos e bolos. E a proximidade com o canal e com a cidade é outro ponto positivo. Você vai andando para o centro.

Falta de parede divisória nas varandas externas tiram um pouco da privacidade.
