Lovely Pousada close to everything.

Brilliant location close to old centre and also the bus stop. Room was spacious and comfortable with a lovely balcony with a great view. Breakfast was fantastic with different options every day. A lovely swimming pool which was warm and had a great view. Close to the tow path and my husband and I were very happy to run on it every morning.

No dustbin in bedroom only small one in bathroom for tissue waste. The room was very clean except for the bedroom floor which could have done with a good mopping.

Charming gardens

The rooms were very comfortable and clean. The gardens are really beautiful and nice to be at, same as the swimming pool.

The staff at reception very kind but it could be nice with a bit more training with recommendations about what to do in the area, etc. I found it a bit expensive.

Nice hotel in a good location

We very much liked the style of the hotel. It blends in very well with its surroundings. The steam room was very nice on the colder evenings and we very much appreciated the outdoor swimming pool on the sunnier days.

The breakfast buffet had too many sweet cake-style dishes for our liking. We would have preferred a bigger variety of savoury breakfast dishes and more types of yoghurts and fruits. The staff in the hotel were correct but not overly friendly or helpful.

Perfect place for an overall relaxed stay in Paraty

Gorgeous spacious pousada with generous outdoor and common spaces as well as super spacious rooms. The breakfast was the best we had on our trip to Brazil, with lots of variety and changes throughout the week. The outdoor terrace overlooking the river had gorgeous views and was a perfect place to have breakfast or watch the sunset. Sauna is easy to access, but more of a steam room than anything. Lots of birds in the garden. 10 mins walk from the historic centre down fairly well lit streets, Santander ATM is also nearby. There are also places to leave bags before check in and check out. Truly a perfect place to stay

The laundry service is a third party service and you will need to pay them (upfront) before you can get your clothes. They are also closed on a Sunday. We were told none of these things when we dropped off our laundry on a Saturday morning, and were told at 7.30pm that day that we would need to come back to pay for the laundry by 8.30pm. We were leaving the next day...and at a wedding that evening. Initially the pousada refused to spot us the 72 reais, and then 30mins later offered to do so. Not a massive issue, but the disorganisation was a bit unnecessary and ruined a bit of our evening, stressing if we were going to manage to have our clothes to go away with

It was a nice stay but not at the level of our expectations, based on the price and the reviews.

Breakfast was very good with lots of choice and typical pao de queijo, fresh juice and fruits. The location is very convenient to reach the old centre by foot and the style of the bungalows very typical for the region.

The staff at reception was not very friendly nor did they apologise for the work that was ongoing by the pool and in the sauna area, which created a lot of noise and dust and inconvenience. We weren't told about the facilities (where was the pool or breakfast) at check in, there was no one to help with the luggage and no compensation for the nuisance of the work (even a glass of juice on arrival would have been appreciated) which prevented used of the pool side, terrace outside the breakfast area and sauna. We were not informed prior to arrival nor on arrival about the work, and even if we can understand they had maintenance to do, they should have had the courtesy to inform and discount the room or offer some sort of apologies. No free bottled water in the room, which is very uncommon.

Exceptional in every way.

Everything! The pousada and the room smelled divine. The bed was super comfortable, the location is great and the staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast has an amazing variety of food every day, and the cook, without prompting, came to us to ask if there is anything she could cook for us that is not available. I enjoyed watching the birds play in the garden whilst relaxing in the hammock.

I am sad to leave Pousada Corsaria.

Meticulously maintained property with a garden teeming with butterflies!

Really well maintained. Beautifully kept communal areas and gardens which were full of the smell of jasmine and lots of butterflies. Nice breakfast in a lovely breakfast room. Great pool and bar located next it. large balcony in Super Deluxe Room.

Some noise could be heard from across the river. Loud motorbikes into the late hours but this would be an issue for other accommodations too and not in the pousadas control.

Best Cost Benefit Ratio

I am a frequent visitor to Paraty and I have stayed in over 20 different places. I like to try different venues but I have put Pousada Corsario Paraty on top of my favourite lists for the balance between. Cost vs Benefit ... it defines a good deal.

Very relaxing stay at a beautiful location right in the center!

Perfect location, very relaxing and beautiful environment. Wifi is great, I was able to have work calls without an issue Sauna is very nice and they have a great pool. Food in the restaurant was also quite good, both breakfast and dinner.

It’s a lovely Pousada in a great location. Two issues however: very old and extremely loud air conditioners in the rooms which makes sleeping almost impossible and many of the reception staff are incompetent and untrained which is quite frustrating.

Charming, stylish property, with very warm and hospitable staff who speaks English. There is a playground for kids and a bar for adults. The property very green, we enjoyed aroma of blossoming trees.

We couldn’t open a window in our room, which was not critical at all.

Great location, beautiful hotel, very chill, calm. Nice pool, and good menu at the restaurant of the hotel. Cool to have a snooker and a kicker in a separate area. We had an excellent time in this place.
