Nice overpriced and too too loud, too noisy

The The room was small but nice And I was told it was an upgrade so I can’t imagine what the regular room I had originally booked would be Staff was nice and the food was good

The lobby was so noisy you could hardly hear yourself as was the restaurant was very very loud like you were at a nightclub and it was noon so you really couldn’t do any work in the lobby area which was part of the attraction to book this the only place I could do anything was in my room so I was disappointed. I would’ve been better off at just a Marriott.

We would stay again at the Austin Proper due to its location, room amenities, and restaurants.

The location was wonderful for our short 2-day business trip. We were able to walk around the downtown area, walk down by the river and across to the park. There were plenty of restaurants, night life, and shopping. We felt safe in the area around the hotel.

The room size was a bit cramped. This was offset by a nice view and lovely amenities within the room (e.g., automatic blinds, wonderful shower with strong water pressure, nicely scented soaps, and Apple TV enable TV). There was plenty of storage, plus a comfortable bed and pillows.

Everything! Wonderful experience. We had to check in very late check in as our flight was delayed and the check in staff were incredible. In fact, all of the staff members were warm, friendly, helpful and so hospitable. Facilities were amazing, location is perfect. 10/10 recommend

Convenient Austin downtown hotel has 2 wonderful restaurants & a large fitness center for guests.

The hotel's restaurants were outstanding, offering exceptional dining experiences. The room featured modern, tasteful decor that created a comfortable and stylish atmosphere. The spacious fitness area was well-equipped with a wide variety of machines, and the spa was a delightful bonus that added to the overall relaxation.

While the hotel had many great features, cleanliness was noticeably lacking. The floors, particularly in the bathroom and along the edges of the room, felt sticky, and the bed sheets were uncomfortably rough. The fitness center was especially unclean, with a visible layer of dirt on the floor. Before using the exercise mats, I wiped them down with the provided disinfecting towelettes, which came away black—clearly indicating they hadn’t been properly cleaned. Although the front desk staff were friendly, they offered minimal guidance regarding the hotel’s facilities and directions, which made navigating the amenities a bit challenging.

Having stayed at Proper Santa Monica I definitely wanted to book this hotel. It was just as good as the Proper hotel in Santa Monica. Wonderful reception, nice drinking and dining options, fantastic food and drink, and wonderful ambience. The gym is among the best hotel gyms I have ever been to. And I'm picky about gyms!

Beautiful property! Incredibly comfortable beds, large rooms, convenient storage for clothing and luggage, amazing shower with luxurious and unique personal products. The staff was incredibly helpful and kind. Wonderful restaurants and in room dining. I can’t say enough great things about this hotel.

The only drawback for us was that the pool is a little small and was often crowded.

5-star stay with 5-star quality

One of the few 5-star hotels that actually meets the expectations of a high rated hotel, was received with a glass of very nice prosecco while waiting for the check-in counter to be free, complimentary upgraded room at check-in. Very comfortable bed and super nice view from the balcony, quiet room and fantastic shower with body wash/shampoo from Aesop brand.

Some of the blinds do not cover the full view of the windows so the sun may shine directly towards the bed at early mornings, not big deal.
