Great experience with a caring on board host. Lovely marina environment. Highly recommended

Breakfast was fabulous, our host Claude went out specially early in the morning and bought us back fresh bread and croissants for us to add to the meats , cereal, eggs , yoghurt etc on board coffee machine too. The cabin was very cosy, good head room and great elevated bed....Bathroom is a bit of a squeeze but all part of the fun and experience...overall great stay and highly recommended . Couple of good restaurants within 50 metres of the boat....parking right nearby. Well done Claude you have created a fabulous experience ...

Beautiful, unique stay in Lille walking distance from the centre

We absolutely loved staying on the Bali. It was our first time staying on a boat and Claude was a wonderful host and put us at ease straight away and told us how everything worked and how to get around. The boat itself is beautiful, Claude and Natalie have done a fantastic job maximising the space and making it cosy and nicely decorated! The location is fantastic, very peaceful while easy to reach the city centre by a lovely walk through the park. Claude also gave us lots of tips for the city on the map which was very helpful! The breakfast provided was delicious and Claude checked with us what we could eat as we are vegetarian. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again, one of our favourite places we’ve ever stayed.

Nothing! I imagine some people might struggle with the ladders but then I don’t know why you would stay on a boat.

A quirky and excellent place to stay for a couple of days.

A really unusual place to stay, an excellent experience. Excellent location on a quiet stretch of the canal. A short walk to the Metro. Comfy bed. Excellent breakfast with fresh bread, croissants and pain au chocolat. Claude is a knowledgeable and helpful host.

A lovely alternative to dull hotels.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Lille on Claude's barge, who is a very nice man along with his wife Nathalie. It is near the centre of Lille which is about 30 minutes walk away. Just opposite is a large park on the other bank and the fortress, Citadel de Lille. There were plenty of local restaurants and takeaways available. It's a quiet spot with plenty of parking. Claude had arranged a nice continental-style breakfast with freshly baked croissants and a baguette. Sitting in the sun on the river in the morning watching the boats go by was perfect, Ideal if you want something a bit different.

A beautiful spot for a short break in Lille.

Claude was the perfect host, he couldn’t have been more helpful, even driving us to our restaurant the first evening after our long journey and taking us to the station for our journey home. The location on the edge of the wonderful park made walking into Lille a real pleasure.

Directions to the boat could have been better, although Claude did come out to find us!

Claude is a wonderful host, so accommodating and welcoming. The boat is much more spacious than we expected and is in a beautiful location. We loved walking into and from the city centre through the park of the citadel. It’s a wonderfully calm place to stay and breakfast was delicious, Claude even gave us extra cheese as we are vegetarians.

Petit coin de douceur au bord de l'eau

Quelle jolie découverte ! La péniche Bali est décorée avec beaucoup de soin et de goût, le lieu est cosy, paisible, doux. Il y fait bien chaud, un vrai lieu réconfortant et bien pensé. Le petit déjeuner est très copieux, il est particulièrement plaisant de le prendre dans la cabine face à l'eau. Le lit est très confortable, la douche est petite mais très confortable et ergonomique. Nous reviendrons avec un grand plaisir lors d'un prochain passage à Lille. Merci Claude pour votre accueil chaleureux. Et bravo pour votre bel endroit !

一次不错的船屋体验~晚上很安静，睡得非常好，位置也很便利。Claude非常友善，提供了丰盛的早餐，还买了新鲜的面包给我们。虽然天气冷，但是船屋里很暖和，完全不用担心。

Nous avons tout aimé, l'accueil était très chaleureux, la péniche bien équipée, le petit déjeuner très généreux, et le lit très confortable ! C'était plus spacieux que ça en avait l'air sur les photos ! Rien à dire de négatif, c'était parfait !

Un petit cocon sur l'eau ...

L'accueil de Claude est remarquablement chaleureux. Dépaysement total, petit déjeuner hyper généreux. Ce petit cocon flottant est la bonne adresse pour un séjour Lillois ! On reviendra l'été pour essayer la terrasse ;-)
