Clean, lovely location, lovely room

Check in was not clear and not easy. Only 1 very thin pillow per person. Bed was hyped up but sadly it was incredibly uncomfortable for us. Very firm bed...too firm for us!

The apartment had everything we needed for a comfortable stay with a fantastic location in the centre of Freiburg. It was tastefully furnished, very clean and the air conditioning was much appreciated on the hot days we were there. Also of huge help were the laundry facilities!

All good - though it's useful to note there is no microwave/oven!

The location is perfect... right in the middle of town, with close access to streetcars, hiking, shopping, grocery stores, restaurants, concerts, train station. I was there during a significant heatwave (35° C) and the air conditioning was so appreciated. The directions to get in and get the key worked well. The bed was comfortable. There was abundant natural light. While it overlooked an extremely busy street, the windows did a phenomenal job of blocking noise. Shower worked well and plenty of hot water. Elevator.

While they seemed to have installed blackout shades, the up/down buttons didn't work and the curtains were translucent, so it was hard to sleep past sunrise (around 6 am in summer). The kitchen is minimal ... the smallest sink I've ever seen, no oil/salt/pepper/other basics, etc. The back door to take out garbage/recycling was very tricky, even following the instructions. The first time I tried, it took about 10 tries. The second time, I gave up after 20. I could have used an instruction sheet for the tv remote ... very minimalistic and I was afraid of pushing the wrong button (I'm not great at those things but probably am not the only one). The Nespresso coffeemaker was appreciated but the "needs descaling" button was on the whole time so don't know how long it's been overdue.
