Great staff, tasty food, welcoming atmosphere.
Loved the decor, all the great ship themed paraphernalia everywhere. Cosy ambiance. Friendly staff, great food, loved our room 11.
Unfortunately nowhere to park during our stay so council run car park had to be used and was very expensive!

Nice weekend away
Staff were pleasant and efficient.Room was clean. Bathroom was modern. Plentiful tea, coffee and biscuits in room, plus bottled water. Food in restaurant was good. Bar was lively and well equipped. Comprehensive breakfast menu.
Room was a little compact. Mattresses were far too soft. Walls are paper thin. You can hear neighbours clearly even when they are speaking quietly. No parking on site. Charged £21 for two days parking in an open air council car park. Bit steep for December in a North East fishing village.

Short and sweet
As always the old quaint bar
The olde ship inn is getting old and is in desperate need of refurbishment in the following areas restaurant as well as the bathrooms and bedrooms to bring it up to 2026 standards. Chairs in restaurant threadbare bedrooms the furnishings and carpet very old we know this as we have been coming to this hotel for 40 years

Friendly staff, clean modern room, excellent food and dog friendly
We stayed with two dogs in a twin in November. Very modern, clean and quiet room in excellent location. Staff were all very welcoming and dog friendly. We ate dinner in the evening and super food . Breakfast was very good too. Both our dogs happy and given some lovely treats at dinner and breakfast. After long day walking the portions for both us and them were great!
Nothing.

Seahouses trip
The location was great, right next to the harbour. There was no parking but there is a big car park where you can pay to stay for up to 78 hours
The room was beautiful! Very clean and comfortable. The staff were really great and friendly. The pub it's self is full of character.
We ate twice here for our tea the food was delicious. The Sunday dinner is hard to beat.
Breakfast good too. I would definitely stay here again.
The only thing I can think of is the shower is noisy. That's it

Amazing pub in a beautiful little village. Our room was large but the highlight was the food. The most amazing seafood dishes for dinner and a great English breakfast. Attentive and friendly staff. Would definitely stay again.

Disappointing regarding the parking situation.
Location was good. Staff were very pleasant, food was good.
Having stayed at The Olde Ship Inn several times in the past and being able to park at the premises we were disappointed to be told on arrival that parking was not available now and we had to park at the central car park which cost us £21. We do not like leaving our car so far away. We would probably not have booked if we had realised there was no parking.
There should have been a concession for the parking at least.
The room was very small with nowhere to put our cases and in need of decoration.

Atmospheric, very convenient for boat trips to the Farne Islands, very comfortable.
The Olde Ship Inn was very old and atmospheric but the level of comfort was pleasantly surprising. The restaurant staff were lovely and very helpful and the food was very good.
The only thing that I thought could have been better was that the reception, whilst efficient, might have been a bit friendlier. Having said this, I can understand that they get a lot of visitors and that there might be a cultural element to this.

The Ship Inn is an institution in Seahouses. Liked being right on the harbour. Loved the 4-poster bed. Food was very good.

A lovely stay at the Olde Ship Inn
Lovely pub with rooms. Staff were all helpful and knowledgeable. Delicious food, we ate dinner, Sunday lunch and breakfast and they were all amazing.
Parking was a pain but that’s not the property’s fault.

Nice 2 bed bungalow by the sea
Close to the seafront, we stayed in the bungalow out the back. It’s right next to the beer garden so we were a bit worried about noise but it wasn’t a problem at all.
No parking, but that seems to be the case in Seahouses. The public parking gets really busy so give yourself plenty of time.

absolutely awful, NEVER stay again. Moved next day to a local B&B which was delightful and cheaper
the serving staff were etremely nice and helpful, so 5 stars for them. The bar was friendly and chearful.
The kitchen staff are appaling and can not cook!
I ordered mussles. Very simple and easy. They appeared literally within 1 minute of ordering, so not cooked fresh. They were a good size but I suspected frozen and smelt horrible. From the smell, I suspect they had been microwaved, shell and all and were served in a revolting gloop rather than a delicious cream, wine and parsley liquour, In all, completely inedible (they didnt charge me for this when I complained). My wife had chowder, which was a gloopy slop with fish bits and a poached egg. In the morning I ordered grilled local kippers (how easy can that be??) which were warm on top and uncooked.. The room was quite small but ok, the bed not very comfortable, the refurbished windowless bathroom had a rediculous claw foot bath, dark blue wall boards (instead of tiles) which made it like the black hole of Calcutta, and the shower was so small you could barely raise an elbow and if you dropped something you couldnt bend and pick it up, even for 2 very slim agile adults. To cap it all, the hotel relies on a local public car park for parking, which was no big deal, but added another £8 and irritation for an already disatisfied customer.

Very enjoyable
Views were lovely, central location, warm, comfortable
We were in the bungalow, really could have done with a kitchenette and a drinks fridge. Parking for a disabled visitor was tight and tight to get in and out of. But there is little chance to amend this.
