A real gem with exceptional hosts and facilities.

Dunelm review Quite a little gem! What a lovely B&B. We had booked for 3 nights in the ‘suite’ which gave us a generously sized bedroom, a shower and toilet and an adjacent sitting room, so lots of space. All the rooms and premises are nicely decorated in a contemporary style and exceptionally clean and well maintained. We liked the location which was quiet and close to the centre of Seahouses (walking distance) so good access to the shops, harbour, beach, restaurants and pubs. Suzanne was a brilliant host from the time of booking and excellent at communicating before arrival as well as during our stay. She offered lots of helpful tips for visits and local eateries and with her warm and cheerful manner she made us feel very much at home. Parking was also excellent - enough space for all the guests. Breakfasts were delicious and featured local produce. They were freshly prepared with plenty of choice including Craster kippers and delicious cooked options (thanks to Suzanne’s brother) as well as the usual cereals and juices. We really liked the communal breakfasts with other guests which made for a pleasant start to the days where you could share experiences. If we decide to stay in the area again then Dunelm House will be our first choice and we highly recommend this property.

The property is spotlessly clean, the room was immaculate and a lovely big bathroom. Suzanne is an incredible host, so lovely to have a chat with and Stephen’s breakfasts were delicious! Could not fault anything with our stay. Definitely the best B&B we have ever stayed in.

Suzanne is a great host. Breakfast is served on a large square table for 8 people, as opposed to 4 separate tables for two - very sociable! Place your breakfast orders the night before.

Perfect

Clean and very comfortable. Fantastic host, friendly and welcoming. Superb breakfast options all of them well prepared and cooked to order (Yes, we worked our way through the menu 😁). If we are in Seahouses again we will definitely stay here again. Very highly recommend.

Suzanne was an excellent host and nothing too much trouble for her. We were messaged that that our key was waiting for us prior to arrival and information inside our room about recommended local eateries which was very helpful. Also a fridge inside the bedroom, stocked with 2 bottles of water on arrival and a small bottle of proper milk for our beverages, which was replenished daily if needed together with tea and coffee. Breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice, well cooked and excellent portions.

A warm welcome, comfortable bed and excellent breakfasts

We stayed two nights here, visiting Bamburgh Castle and the Farne Islands and found it a very welcoming place, excellently situated, just a few minutes’ walk to the harbour. It was easy to find, on the main road but very quiet at night. There is parking at the front of the property. Our bed was comfortable and the bathroom had an excellent shower.

Breakfast each day was great, and Suzanne was a wonderful hostess. The chef was excellent, though we didn't actually get to personally thank him. The room was great and the fridge being stocked with fresh milk and tea/coffee facilities was so thoughtful. Will definitely stay at Dunelm House again if i ever go back to Seahouses. Cannot think of anything that did not meet expectations.

Owner was so friendly. Good variety and freshly cooked breakfast. Having own key to come and go as I wanted. Not far from centre of seahouses. Having fresh milk provided in my room and having a fridge.

Sleep with a window open, so prefer a room off the road. But thankfully it’s a very quite town so very few passing vehicles.

After a long day - it's just what you want.

Located within easy walking distance of the town, harbour and eateries. Parking right outside the door. Beautifully clean and comfortable bed and bathroom with large TV and 'nice' tea/coffee/biscuits etc. A warm welcome. The breakfast was lovely; hot and freshly cooked to order. Great communication throughout. I really couldn't fault it - or want to. Thank you Suzanne.
