Beach House Hotel

Food was amazing as was the staffs attitude and friendliness

Room was small for the price Flag flapping outside the window disturbed our sleep constantly

The location

The morning receptionist was quite dour Broke one smile and not big on eye contact -not quite the thank you goodbye you’d hope for .The receptionist that checked us in was fabulous so think this person sort of lets the side down Breakfast was a scene from Fawlty Towers No glasses so given a mug for the juice - constantly complaining on how busy they had been No cutlery -had to find ourselves Coffee pat was already plunged and had coffe grounds on the outside No fruit salad left at 0915 -no offer - my sister asked for brown bread instead of sourdough and was refused and yet found brown bread by the toaster so made her own ( she has dental issues and finds sourdough a bit tough) Generally got the feeling that having breakfast at 0930 was a bad thing and the staff had had enough -3 different servers all complaining about how busy they were We were left standing for about 10 minutes despite tables being available Luckily we were in a good mood and made jokes to each other about Fawlty towers and when my sister remarked about self service when she went to find cutlery they thought she was joking Such a shame as the hotel is well placed and has a nice feel. Get the feeling it’s luck of the draw on staff -Saturday staff fabulous Sundays staff need to have a talking to I feel

Lovely location, comfortable beds, cocktails on the lawn! Great access to spa

One night dinner was understaffed and a long wait for even a drink.

The hotel was well decorated, and the location was lovely and the staff very friendly

The facilities for the price point were disappointing the price of our room was closed to luxury hotels per night and the facilities simply weren't there
