Love staying at Braeside retreats and already planning our next trip back

2nd time staying at Braeside retreats. Had to return as we loved it so much

Mini iron board which makes it hard and no room to put clothes away so have to live out suitcase but facilities are lovely and of quality

Brilliant Stay! Would Recommend.

Nice quiet location, easy to find, only a few miles from Thurso and a Tesco. Pods are more spacious inside than i thought and they are well spaced out for privacy. Pod was very modern, clean and tidy with excellent facilities. Also the hot tub was the icing on the cake. My partner and I loved it. Im sure we will be back! Thank you for a great stay...

Only gripe I had would be the WiFi was stop start and unreliable but my mobile data worked fine without it.

Peaceful, luxurious, roomy Pod.

location is beautiful and the hot tub was amazing, even though it was extremely windy and wet, we braved the storm. We were worried about the Pod being warm enough due to the time of year, but heating was easy to use and we certainly were toasty. Our dog doesn't always settle but is always so at peace here. This was our second visit.

Wi-fi wasn't working but it didn't bother us. We had mobile data so all good. TV still worked.

Great location, great facilities!

It’s extremely minor and petty, the book said there would be treats for the dogs and some biscuits for a brew, neither were there 😞 the dogs didn’t notice but I needed a brew with how the weather was, although it didn’t stop me going in the hot tub!

The views were stunning, saw the northern lights and the milky way! Shower was amazing, beds comfy, absolutely silent. Hot tub was very warm and didnt want to get out!

I was under the impression there was 3 beds but there was only 2. It was absolutely fine as there was only 3 of us.

A home away from home. Cosy, welcoming and relaxing

From the moment we arrived, this cabin felt like a home away from home. Nestled in a beautiful, secluded spot, it offered the perfect balance of comfort and nature. The interior was spotless and thoughtfully designed, with cozy furnishings, a well-equipped kitchen, and plenty of little touches that made our stay extra special. The hosts were always easy to contact if needed. They make sure we had everything we needed without ever intruding on our privacy. It’s clear they take pride in creating a peaceful and memorable experience for their guests. If you’re looking for a quiet, scenic getaway where you can truly unwind, this place is a gem.

Beautiful pod and great location

The pod was really well equipped, absolutely beautiful and really spacious. I stayed with my husband and 2 children and there was more than enough room for us all. The location is great and the hot tub is a really nice added bonus. There is a really nice small childrens park with swings, a cmimbing frame, sandpit and bug trampoline which my kiddos loved! We would definitely recommend and return!

The hot tub jets didn't work when we got there but the owners did get back to me really quickly with how to reset them but they needed resetting everything we used the hot tub and sometimes didn't work at all. That being said that water was still amazingly warm and it was still nice to relax in the warm and watch the scenery. The park needs a few minor repairs, some of the trampoline springs were broken and the sandpit just needs a bag of fresh sand but was still fully usable and my little ones loved it.

Cute and comfortable little pod, with an amazing view.

The location in quiet and the view is absolutely stunning. We travelled with kids and they really enjoyed the trampoline and the hot tub. The pod was clean and cozy and had just enough room for a family of four.

The only this we missed was a large pot and the frying pan had definetly seen better days.

Beautiful hideaway in plain nature

Stunning view and absolutely remote and quiet. Well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. Good shower. Hosts were really friendly and helpful. Would recommend for everyone who enjoys a hideaway in plain nature and is not bothered with lack of space.

The privacy and outdoor facilities were great. The location was amazing too and although it appeared to have all the pods full, there is a lot of space between the pods so we still had privacy and peace.

A pleasant place to base ourselves in the area.

The views from the lodge were spectacular and given good weather the ability to sit outside would have been great. No shortage of hot water and a great shower along with a hot tub. Lots of room between the lodges so you are not disturbed or overlooked by anyone.

The design of the lodge doesn’t give you many places to store luggage and the bed being up against the wall is not ideal - although you can see that on the pictures before you book to be fair.

Great spacious pod. Beautiful views. Nice having the hot tub. Link for a lead outside the pod to keep the dog secure if you’re outside.

Contacted the owners via booking.com and their website well in advance to ask what was required for the BBQ and had no response. Meant that we didn’t have the right stuff and there weren’t any coals/firelighters left in closest local shops.

Excellent facilitates, but disappointed with attentiveness on the WiFi issues and lack of resolve.

This was a very spacious pod and very functional and private with plenty space from other pods. The hot tub was great and lovely views.

The WiFi didn’t work at all. Disappointingly the staff were unable to rectify this for our 2 day stay after repeatedly highlighting this both days. I had to use most of my data allowance during our stay. The staff were very hands off considering we had issues.

Everything, our second visit & will definitely be bad again. Fabulous views, very peaceful, relaxing & the hot tub is great. Pods are spaced out very thoughtfully to make them as private as possible. The property is very well set up with perfect facilities for a break away. The barbecue and hot tub were absolutely brilliant and topped off an already perfect location.
