The lodge is beautiful and the location is great. Inside is very clean and tidy, has everything that you need and there is lovely little welcome pack. The views are fab and it’s very private even though there are a couple of houses close by but you don’t really notice them. The hot tub was excellent and clean.

There is nothing that we didn’t like about the property. A very small recommendation would be to have either some hooks to hang towels on or some kind of storage box/ shelf for towels for outside at the hot tub.

The location so close to home for a special break. Hot tub 😘 spotless and all the cute christmas decs and tree.

There was not enough towels baring in mind there is a hot tub. We thought there would be more than 1 hand towel and small bath towel each.

Top of the range in cabin accommodation

Spacious cabin nicely decorated and immaculately clean. Well equipped. The hot tub was the best we have experienced. Convenient location on route.

Lovely property but remote

Nice clean modern property in remote beautiful Location - great property

Minor things - No microwave - no plastic cups etc for drinks at the out door area - no dish towel - it’s about a mile into town but you can’t walk because it’s on a A road with no pavement - Hot tub is a bit exposed at one side could be going with the fence a bit further along - you should take robes with You for going to the hot tub area

Perfect stopover on NC500 with an amazing hot tub

Stayed overnight with our dog whist doing the NC500. We loved the cabin, it had everything we could need including a brilliant powerful shower and has been done to a very high standard. Great location right on the NC500 route and a short drive to the Lidl and shops in Wick. The highlight for us was the hot tub which was just what we needed after a long days driving.

Great for visiting the Scottish Highlands !

North Coast Escapes is such a lovely, cosy and clean place, with everything we needed to have a great time exploring the surrounding countryside ! Perfect place for our family of four to unwind with the jacuzzi after visiting all the beauty spots up to Durness, including the Flow country with its bogs, and the inner roads (A897) where we saw lambs and red deer roaming 😍

Perfect first stop on the NC500

Fantastic and convenient place to stay if you are on the NC500. Easy to get to with a nice view across the sea. Very clean and tidy on arrival. Generous space inside the cabin too. The owners provided tea bags / coffee sachets and small milk cartons plus some nice sweets and biscuits. We enjoyed a visit to the Whaligoe Steps (see photo) which is only 5 mins drive from the cabin - well worth a look and walk those 365 steps! We also drove to Wick to get fish and chips and ate these overlooking the sea with the patio doors open. Highly recommended place to stay and helpful owners.

It’s hard to find anything significant to say here as the cabin is really well appointed and spotless. If I was being highly critical, for the size of the cabin some more comfortable chairs at the table would have been appreciated - it was ok for one night stay though. Also the water in the hot tub at the side didn’t seem very clean. We didn’t use this facility as a consequence.

A peaceful and relaxing escape in a cozy, dog-friendly pod

We had a lovely one-night stay in the B&B pod with our dog — the perfect little getaway from the city! The setting was peaceful and relaxing, just what we needed to unwind. The pod was cozy and well-equipped, and it was great to find somewhere dog-friendly too. Would definitely recommend for a quiet getaway!

More than a pod. More like a mini house. The property is in a well maintained garden and looks like it is new even though it has been opened for years, it is in such great condition. The price was excellent value for money.

Clean, comfortable and warm. This little lodge had everything required, plus the added bonus of a hot tub :) The owners left us a Valentine’s gift of Prosecco & chocolates - such a lovely thought.

perfect for a nights stay

it’s very new and tastefully decorated- exceptionally clean and the hosts are on hand. there is also use of a private hot tub ( I didn’t use this but it looked nice and very clean).

there’s not a lot in thrumster where it’s located and food choices are limited - we had to drive into wick and fortunately we found a pub that would allow us to eat - so it’s important to know this as you could come stuck if you arrive late (this does have kitchen facilities so you could cook your own food
