Perfectly cozy with all that you need to relax.

We stayed in the Hen hoose pod . It has all you could possibly need on a break away from appliances to utensils .The views were great , looking over the fields with the sheep grazing . The hot tub was all set up for our stay & it was just what we needed to chill out

Absolutely fantastic, will definitely be back can’t recommend more

Everything! Couldn’t find one fault, local takeaways were amazing, the hot tub was warm and cosy. The dogs absolutely loved it, so clean really warm inside pod, so many facilities to cook, clean we really struggled to find one thing missing or anything we would chance or add to the pods. The view is breathtaking, a dog park to walk dogs, dog shower, plenty bins, really cozy bed the mattress was a highlight!

Excellent :)

I loved how cosy the cabin was and the facilities. The hot tub was on and warm for when we arrived! The tv had Netflix and everything was very clean :) there was also a place to play football and have a fire which is a lovely touch.

The only thing I’d say was that there wasn’t a lot of space to put our food but we just kept things in bags and over the counter so it was good.

Best place to just chill out

Everything, as always, was exactly what we needed for a few days of relaxing. The private dog field is an added bonus and the views are amazing

Absolutely magical and wonderful

Has everything needed! Perfect secure space around the cabin for our dog and a fab space for a wee dog park to let him run off lead and burn energy. Brilliant location to get easy access to Thurso and beyond. A couple of takeaways deliver to the site but we drove the couple of minutes into town to collect and save the delivery fee. Owners came over to say hello and give us local tips when we arrived. Absolutely wonderful stay! We were even lucky enough to be sitting in the hot tub experiencing the Milky Way and the northern lights at the same time… magical!

One of the best places we've stayed

It was so peaceful and relaxing with amazing views. It was also very well appointed and personal luxurious touches which made us feel spoilt. The hot tub with those views was amazing. The host was so welcoming & friendly.

A true little gem - The Coo Shed

We absolutely loved this experience, something a bit different in the Highlands. We were greeted by 2 highland Cows on arrival. 5 mins drive to Thurso and 3 mins to golf course. Wick, John O' Groats and the stunning beaches and views of Northern Scotland were on your doorstep. Highly recommend. We even used the hot tub whilst it was pouring with rain it was a very special stay and experience.

Everything the pod was exceptionally clean, fantastic little touches which made it feel like home ftom home....including welcome hamper. Fantastic host lovely communication provided lots of information about the area and also drop off for food on way home.....the hottub was sensational and the mattress was oh so comfy so much so my hubby has been online to buy a new one! Pets welcome which is awesome....we even bought the Highland coos some carrots 🥕 and apples 🍎 We definitely recommend and we will definitely be returning soon

Location is breathtaking! Sitting in the hot tub in the morning with a coffee taking in that view!! Pods have every amenity you might need and are wonderfully decorated. Your area is fully fenced so you have privacy. And Highland coos sometimes visit in the morning❤️

It was a little tight for 3 adults but for just a couple of nights that was no problem.

Cosy pod with everything you need. Hot tub great and spectacular views. Little dog field and kids play area were thoughtful additions. Lovely host Yvonne with lots of ideas and knowledge of the area. Perfect base for exploring the area

Welcome pack was brilliant shampoo hand cleanser everything provided Yvonne our host could not have been more helpful next time booking for week can’t recommend Glengolly highly enough and lots to do

Exceptional…..we will be back.

This is our second visit to Glengolly and we absolutely love our time there. Whether it’s to relax and read a book or enjoy the hot tub while taking in the phenomenal views; or as an extremely well kitted out base for our exploring. Finding new places to walk the dogs, an abundance of art and history to explore, or adventures to be had. We loved our visit to Dunnet Bay, and walks from Thurso beach to scrabster for lunch, to a short drive to Keiss and Sinclair castle. Our visit also landed on the weekend of the Caithness county show so that was enjoyed along with other coastal walks before heading west to enjoy the last day of our holidays before heading home. Until the next time……

We loved everything, everything is so well thought out which is a big reason we continue to return as we explore the area bit at a time.

Comfortable stay at farm

We liked that our pod was located on the farm and cows were walking just few meters from our window. Our children enjoyed watching them from the bed. Even the pod was small everything fit in, everything was clean and we felt comfortable.

Amazing trip !

I want to say a massive thank you to the owner Yvonne, for putting up celebration banner for my mums birthday! It felt that Yvonne went extra mile for it! What I also loved is that you have a little complimentary snacks and drinks included , you know if you had a long trip and still need to do shopping you have it there! It was very modern and clean, tidy. You have all kinds of stuff that you would want, like nice champagne glasses, plates, you even have AirFryer!!!! Also robes, slippers , towels , hair dryer , even extra small mirror if you don’t want to occupy bathroom. Toiletries , laundry bag, bbq cutlery , strings to dry your clothes , everything! The hot tub was clean and very nice! I loved how the area was closed and wind could not ruin any of it! And yes, you will be watched by the Coos haha! They’re the cutest ! We enjoyed our stay and are already planning next !

Fabulous Location, Superb Facilities

The pod was cosy, warm and well kitted out, with excellent attention to detail. Within easy driving distance of Scrabster, John O’ Groats, Halkirk, Dunnet Head and Wick. Astounding views, great hot tub. Our host was very friendly and informative. 4 delighted adults and a happy dog - we will be back!

Perfect pods in a beautiful location.

Lovely accommodation in a perfect location. Pod had everything you need for a short stay, the host clearly put a lot of thought and consideration into the design of these pods. We stayed in Foxes Den, nice themed accommodation. Hot tub was especially nice overlooking the fields of farm animals. Gorgeous sunset to finish off a lovely stay. Hosts were lovely and paid us a visit before we left, nice to chat about the pods, the area and what we were doing.

Fabulous stay in a quality pod in an excellent location.

Location was excellent moments from Thurso and the NC500. Stayed in The COO Shed Yvonne was an excellent host who has a wealth of local knowledge and recommendations. Pod had quality fittings and was beautifully decorated . Just had to order Heather the coo !! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay . Hot tub a bonus . Thank you

We loved looking out of the windows and seeing the lambs running around. The pod was well kitted out and Yvonne was an excellent host taking time to say hello and explaining how everything worked. Plenty of parking space and close to town of Thurso whilst being in the countryside.

BEST TIME EVER!

Glengolly Getaways Pods is an absolute must! Can not recommend highly enough. It is very comfortable home from home place to stay. With so many places to go and things to see with the Pod that is a perfect location. Attention to detail through-out the pods are a wonderful touch. Has a stunning kitchenette and bathroom with all the mod cons too. Very comfortable bed. Chilling in hot tub is glorious after a day sight-seeing. With a stunning view right out to the town of Thurso (barely 10 min drive) and Dunnet Head and Orkney just beyond. Yvonne is so lovely and helpful, made you feel welcome immediately. When you are staying on a very busy working farm, Yvonne will always make sure the guests are ok should you need anything. We had the bonus of seeing the new born lambs in the field next to the pod, so looking forward to seeing the Heilan Coos when I go back again very soon!

Amazing getaway. Has everything you need and more. Perfect for any age range. Couldn’t recommend enough. Clean and comfortable. Location is perfect for getting in and out of Thurso. Owners are lovely, very accommodating. Well thought out for dogs too. Hot tub was lovely to sit and watch the stars.
