The Painted Lady is a great place to stay.
Gated property with lots of history. Original artifacts from the saloon and hostel are displayed. Obviously a lot of effort was made to make it a fun and interesting place to stay. The antique trolley car was a great place to have a good craft beer. Jesse was a great host.

Best hotel experience I’ve ever had!!
Gorgeous “‘Ol Wild West” period furnishings, fantastic hospitality from interesting, friendly and very professional hosts, super-comfortable bed and full kitchen and porch, the only TV which has ever worked perfectly for me in any hotel (and I go to a lot of hotels) and more. There’s a restored Albuquerque trolly on the property —repurposed into a bar offering guests one free (delicious) craft beer (or another drink) every night, many fun on-site associated events and a fascinating history re: the property. This place is unique and seriously excellent. So worth it and so memorable. It’s the best hotel experience I’ve ever had.
I loved the property.

A perfectly flawless and delightfully memorable stay
I loved Everything about our stay at the Painted Lady! This is a historic property that has been perfectly restored. The suites are so comfortable and filled with anything a weary traveller could possibly need. I love a really good suite when travelling, and this place more than fills the bill. A cozy living area, a well stocked kitchen with Plenty of coffee, a gorgeous bathroom, lovely bedroom ...Wow! The suites are filled with beautiful and quirky art which I love, the outdoor space is filled with charm, as is the host. Jesse greets his guests in an old trolley for a beer at 5:00, which is an absolute delight, so fun to chat with him about the fascinating history of the place with other guests in the evening before going out. On-site parking is terrific, safe and secure. My husband and I both highly recommend the Painted Lady.
This was a rare Perfect stay! No negatives at all!

Don’t miss the chance to stay in a unique piece of history full of character…
The accommodation was a former brothel with an interesting history. The owner Jesse has made a fabulous job of renovating this property, retaining the character of the history of the rooms. Each is decorated with memorabilia that make this place stand out more than your average hotel room. The outside areas are quirky and cleverly make use of re-purposing items. Parking is secure behind a gated entrance. The addition of the brew house offers the chance to meet fellow guests for a happy hour drink in the bar - a delightfully renovated tram car! The converted tram car is a unique bar experience. Highly recommended. A short walk away is an excellent family Mexican restaurant with delicious food. If you’d are heading to Albuquerque.. this is an experience to savour.
Absolutely nothing.

Excellent
Very nice place with very kind staff. Highly recommendable.
The location is not the greatest. We stayed within the gates and had a good time.

A perfect first stop in our New Mexico visit.
An unusual place, with surprisingly large rooms and historic decor. Very comfortable sitting/reading room, comfortable bed, more kitchen than we expected. An excellent facility. We would happily return.

Fun, funky, interesting place to stay with wonderfully curated grounds. Very intimate and mellow!
Loved the artsy and historical funkiness woven together. It gives you a glimpse of the past while also providing modern convenience.
A breakfast offering even if super basic (burritos?) would be awesome but not a deterrent at all.

Super cute venue and super cute space. Great for small families with 4 or less people.
Location was great, towels were fluffy, technology in house was excellent
A personal introduction would have been nice, but I understand why it doesnt exist. They are quick to text back and helped us get un-Lost on a walk!

Felt like it wasn’t in the safest neighborhood.

Seriously the best place to stay, relax and enjoy the area
Our room was fantastic, pictures just don’t do this place justice. Hoppy hour daily for guest was the icing on the cake and Jordan was an amazing beer tender and magician!

The history of the place. Found myself chuckling throughout the stay at humorous decor touches curated by the owner. Don
Comfortable, clean and we loved the whimsical decor. Great selection of crafts beers served in a very cool street trolley bar.
Wished the bar stayed open a little later.

Hands down better than a hotel and reasonably priced.
The grounds are charming, private and secure. We loved the spacious room. Jesse has thoughtfully attended to every detail: historic and artistic touches, plus practical kitchen and bathroom items. The place is spotless.

So many special touches - enough bath hooks for wet towels, enough Keurig coffee pods for our stay, bathroom amenities, plenty of towels. Just perfect.

Fun and comfortable property near Old Town. Would definitely stay there again.
Very nice location close to friends we were visiting. Also easy access to highway 40. Room was very comfortable and included a kitchen. Bed was good. Loved the brewery in the back and a complimentary beer was included each night we stayed.
Everything was good.

Amazing Find -- Hotel Bed and Brew!
The Painted Lady Bed and Brew was a last minute find (booked the day of). It ended up becoming one of our favorite places to stay ... ever! This lodging is housed in an historic building that used to be a brothel AND it has a history of having been haunted (didn't know that until arrival). We booked a suite, and were pleasantly surprised to see that our name had been written in chalk on our door in welcome, even though the property has a keyless entry process. In fact, all the details in our suite (the Jessie Suite) were just divine; they were carefully chosen: to represent the 19th-centuryr and/or ghostly aesthetic (lots of dia de los muertos artwork and film posters, etc). the kitchen was well-appointed, leather couch and beds comfortable. We had our own private back porch too. The property has a wide front porch lined with comfortable rocking chairs. We loved sitting there. But, the details just get better. Every adult guest is greeted with a free home-brewed beer in the property's cozy renovated "ghost streetcar saloon." And, the night we arrived happened to be the free monthly community ghost story telling event right in the garden. We couldn't ask for more ... what a way to spend the evening, and what an amazing find. This lodging is the best. Indeed, it was one of our favorite New Mexico experiences (ranking up there with the Tent Rocks slot canyon hike). Thanks so much. If we visit Albuquerque again, we will return!
Not a thing.

Fascinating quality accommodation!
Spacious, quirky accommodation. Immaculately clean. Fascinating decor with explanatory notes on the premises history. Wonderful free beer on the tramcar during 'Hoppy Hour'. Friendly, knowledgeable host. Thank you Jesse!

A gem in Albuquerque. Local ownership and local craftsmanship. Highly recommend!
This place is a masterpiece of attention to detail. Everything about it was excellent. No detail was missed and quality of ownership was evident in every detail. Kudos to the owner, Jessie, for the fine work he did.

Interesting and fun place in Albuquerque
Lovely, very interesting older building (with a past!) and fun place to stay. Our one bed apartment was large and comfortable, with a well equipped kitchen area, and was decorated with lots of memorabilia from its late Victorian heyday. We took advantage of the free late afternoon beer on offer in the wonderfully over-the-top re-purposed old trolleycar and really enjoyed it, with the lovely hostess looking after us very well. The beer (brewed on site) tasted great too. Only 15 minutes walk to Albuquerque Old Town.

Would love to stay there again!
Everything about the Painted Lady was fantastic. It was, by far, the most delightfully different and "out of the norm" bed and brew we have ever stayed at. Ok, it has been the only bed and brew we have stayed at. It was very clean and comfortable; a great location close to many activities/restaurants/etc; Jesse could not have been a better host; and he provided great beer. The rooms were decorated with style, the outside ammenities were awesome, and we felt safe. It's the place to stay in Albuquerque.
Nothing could have been better.
