Would stay again

The flat was fantastic with everything you needed and very well decorated.

The rooms were hot, and I didn't know how to cool them down as the heating wasn't on. Another thing, which was beyond your control, was the flat above was noisy with what seemed like a kid running around constantly all day and night plus they constantly left the downstairs security main door open all the time and no consideration ti any one else staying in the building.

The apartment was spotless and beautifully decorated. It is equipped with everything you need and is so comfortable. It is in a great location so easy to walk everywhere. There is also a dedicated parking space.

Very Central Apartment in Kirkwall

Stayed with my Mum. Great that we each had a double room and separate bathing facilities. Free car park space is also a bonus. Really easy to walk into town and there are about a dozen supermarkets within walking distance. Nice welcome pack.

Found some dirty cups in the drawer, but this is a reflection on past guests, not the owner, as adequate amount of dishwasher tablets were supplied.

Excellent stay

The location was perfect - shops , supermarkets, restaurants,bus stops and ferry all very close by . Beds super comfy and apartment has everything you could possibly need with everything close by and yet a very quiet position .

Beautiful comfortable flat in an excellent quiet location

Great location, very comfortable and quiet flat. The beds were very comfortable and the apartment clean and spacious. It’s very close to Victoria Street full of little shops and a lovely local food & grocery shop called Shearers. We also recommend the fish & chip shop a stones throw away from the flat. John was very helpful with giving advice and helped us solve a couple planning problems as well. We didn’t want to leave!

I would say the only thing, and this is very minor, is the en-suite bathroom could use a towel rod & a toilet roll holder - and in the bedroom maybe a mirror that’s close enough to an outlet for drying hair etc. But honestly everything was absolutely lovely and we’d be happy to stay again.

The apartment had everything we needed, was very modern, clean and the location was excellent. It is right in the centre of Kirkwall so very close to amenities. Used taxis and buses to go further afield as we had flown up to Orkney. Hazel was great when I needed to communicate with her. This trip was postponed from 2020, due to Covid restrictions and was well worth the wait.

This is outwith the owners control, but there were loud neighbours above us , as in they were very heavy-footed. That said, we would still happily return in future .

Visiting Orkney? We found the best place to stay in Kirkwall.

Great location, clean, tidy and very comfortable apartment, close to all local amenities. Great for families, two large supermarkets nearby and it was nice to have a parking space outside the front door. Its our second visit to this apartment and we would absolutely look to book and stay there again.

Nothing I didn't like or could suggest improving on, in fact one of the most important things for us is when there is an issue how is it resolved and and when we contacted the Host (over an appliance issue) they responded very quickly and where happy to make sure we had everything we need. Cant fault that, it was an excellent stay.

Excellent apartment

Beautiful modern apartment, loved open plan kitchen/dining and living area. All mod cons, lovely bathrooms comfy beds, close to centre, private parking, lovely and warm and plenty warm water for large family staying. The Christmas tree was a lovely touch too

A great flat to share Christmas with friends

A fantastic flat in the middle of Kirkwall. Large, clean and comfortable bedrooms. Brand new facilities of the highest standards. A lovely place to stay over the Christmas period to celebrate while away from home. Our hosts even put up a Christmas tree for us, which was a lovely added touch! Good contact from the host throughout our stay to help with anything we needed. Easy pick up of keys and a car parking space. Close to large supermarkets and Kirkwall's high st.
