Location, space and layout of property
Self closing doors (really really dislike) the deck outside the lodge at the opposite end to to main could do with a guard Rail, 2nd last night of holiday, there was weed smoking and loud drinking music from neighbours we did not enjoy at all!

The only thing we all didn't like was that the bedrooms were very warm at bedtime, to the point some of us couldn't sleep for the heat - it was October.

The view from the lodge was fabulous, a lovely place to enjoy the sunset and sunrise.
Could do with more kitchen utensils but that’s just a small quibble.

Amazing lodge, the interior was luxurious and the view was outstanding. We were there as a family, ages from 6-51 including young adults. All of us loved it. It was spacious too. We had great weather too which was a bonus.
Nothing.

Great space and layout in the property. Very clean throughout, good kitchen utensils and equipment. Amazing view, comfortable living space. Loved the location, good for exploring the wider area.
Expected 'comfortable outdoor furniture' as described in description but only had deckchairs which most people find uncomfortable. Because there was no table and chairs outside it made it a much less usable deck area. Staff explained it was due to rain and high winds making outdoor furniture impractical which is understandable but still disappointing. Would have liked spare pillows/blankets and perhaps basic condiments but I'm being slightly picky.

I saw these lodges being built a few years ago and liked the location and style. They are very spacious and well equipped with a good sized entrance hallway, good sized bedrooms and excellent bathrooms. The living area is spacious, comfortable, and has those stunning views. Kitchen equipment is all you'll need.
A short walk takes you to the coffee shops and facilities of the John o'Groats harbourside area, and the coastal walk pathways.
Nothing really - some sofa cushions were showing some wear but I'm sure that will be addressed.

Location was amazing and the lodge was so spacious and modern. I would happily sit and gaze out of the huge glass doors.

Beautiful lodges with fantastic views towards Orkney. Our lodge was comfortable and modern and had everything you need for a stay. Staff were helpful and cafes in walkable distance.

The view out of the cabin and how warm it was when it was blowing a gale outside. Did have a power cut but the staff were excellent and helped us to get some more logs and the cafe open for an hour for a hot drink since it was New Year’s Day and they had a generator.

So relaxing, just what we needed
Booked a sea view which we didn’t get, but that didn’t spoil our stay

Fabulous location overlooking the North Sea with views to the Orkneys. Just seabirds and rabbits around us. Wonderful weather was a bonus.
Will return within the next couple of years.
Nothing much.
EV charging point perhaps.

Location was good
the property was very well provided with all the luxury we needed
the only thing that disappoints you is - its not the number 22 its 21. Number 22 was right opposite to the sea view and there is nothing blocking your view. number 22 will block the right side of the sea view. so the information was not accurate.

We stayed in JOG Lodge 21. If you like high quality accommodation, then I can highly reccommend staying here. It is finished to a very high specification. There were little extras, such as coffee pods which were much appreciated The sofa and beds were super comfy, all the furnishings and the surroundings were delightful. There is a smashing view of the sea outside. No noise from the car park at the JOG center, yet close enough to walk a few minutes to the JOG sign, shops and cafes. Our host was very communicative, answering our messages immediately. we parked 2 cars easily, found our accommodation with ease, due to excellent instructions and also had a brilliant time. We can recommend the twice daily wildlife cruise, we saw puffins, seals and lots of other birds.

A king size bed for the main bedroom would have been better

The view
The size of the communal space
Having 2 bathrooms
Having washing facilities and a utility room - good to deposit wet shoes and jackets before entering lodge proper.
The outside decking area
Provision of washing up liquid/dishcloths and towels.
Staff - Stephanie and Mark were very patient and helpful with our complaints and helped out where they could. Main issues they could not deal with (wifi etc)
NO WIFI OR PHONE RECEPTION with no advanced warning. Had we known we would have planned ahead. Instead we were told after check in that the wifi was and had been down for some time. Caught us out completely with being unable to go online to plan visits/ferries etc during our stay.
No guide/instructions to the lodge and it's facilities. No control over heating.
Lodge 22 is a generic number on booking.com for several lodges. All same facilities but booked 22 specifically for the location on site to be told day before arrival we were in Lodge 12.
A lack of storage in kitchen if you plan to prepare your own meals.
No oven gloves.
Windy weather the last 2 days which made the large patio doors creak loudly keeping us awake.
The site is overrun with wild rabbits - cute to watch but with dogs, a health risk and distraction!

The lodges are stunning. They are clean, well equipped and spacious. They offer privacy in a quiet peaceful location. You would not know that you are a very short walk to shops, cafés, harbour and so much more. It's lovely to wake up surrounded by rabbits and sheep with the gorgeous sea view. The staff don't bother you at all. However, if they are called then they arrive prompt, are always polite, friendly and professional. I love being able to take our dog with us, knowing some cafés are very dog friendly and even have a dog menu 😁. This was my 2nd visit and I will certainly return.
I found moving the wheelchair on the gravel was difficult. A smooth path to the front door would have been perfect. I should add that I didn't make staff aware that we had a wheel chair user with us, so this was my error and no reflection of the service. Most areas were wheelchair friendly. A child's pushchair would not have had a problem at all.

Tolle Lage in westlicher Ausrichtung, damit tolle Sonnenuntergänge. Mit 3 Schlafräumen und 2 Bädern zu 5 gut nutzbar.
Preis-Leistung sehr gut, auch für die Möglichkeit auf die Orkneys zu fahren.
Eigentlich nichts.
