The apartment is situated in the perfect spot between University Square and castle.

....where you might as well leave your car for a while if you brought it along. Because you just turn left outside of the house and take a 5 minutes walk to the university square which is right in the middle of the "Altstadt". Or you turn right - 5 minutes to the castle.

This was a wonderful place to stay. Just a path away from the second funicular to Heidelberg. A few blocks from the old town. And it was so quiet at this old house. Everything we needed was right there! The host was very nice and very helpful with information. The beds were comfortable. The bathrooms were clean and very nice. I would definitely stay here again if I’m ever in Heidelberg! Thank you so much for opening your home to us!

It was very nice. The views were great. The bedroom upstairs is not really suited for an adult as the access is tricky and the ceiling on entering very low, but fine for children.

We enjoyed our stay here; however, it is worth noting that it takes 88 steps to get from the garage to the loft. The setting is relaxing, and it is just a short but steep walk to the city center. Our host, Volker, communicated well before and during our stay.

What a great location! We were a quick stroll from just about everything (shopping, the castle, the university, etc). The property was very well maintained and comfortable. Chilling on the balcony at the end of a long day of hiking while the kids played pool was an added bonus. We would happily recommend it to anyone. One of the real highlights was Volker (the owner) himself. He was exceptionally helpful and friendly. His English is excellent, and he made us feel like welcomed guests and not just paying customers. There IS a steep set of stairs to get from the parking to the room, so if you have someone that cannot manage the stairs, be forewarned. This wasn't much of a problem for us, but I didn't see an alternative if someone was in a wheelchair or struggled with stairs. Overall, a great spot to stay. We loved it!
