Casa Michiel in the lively Venice

Absolutely perfect! Super clean, well-appointed, great communication, and extremely fair cost. We highly recommend this apartment and this host!

I had a wonderful stay at Giovanna’s Casa Michiel. Giovanna established early communication with me, met me at the door and walked me through the spacious, bright and clean apartment. The apartment was also very quiet. The winning feature for this place was location. Located in the Cannaregio district and right above a street lined with wonderful outdoor cafes, gelatos and probably the best cicchetti bar in town. A short walk to the M. dell’Orto stop with quick access to vaporettos and the Alilaguna stop from the airport.

Giovanna greeted us warmly after checking our arrival time. The apartment is spacious and clean. The location was brilliant for us with either boat or walking easy to get anywhere. We arrived by air and left by train, both easy access. The apartment is located above a number of bars and restaurants. Lovely to have the vibe filter into the apartment but completely silent once the windows were closed

This unit was incredible! The historic first floor apartment is clean & well maintained. It has been tastefully renovated creating an open concept in the living room/ dining/ kitchen area. There are two windows facing and opening up to the canal allowing vast amounts of light, opportunity to hear & see the boats/ people waking past & enjoying the restaurants. Once the windows are closed, you can barely hear anything. In the living room area, there is a huge & extremely comfortable couch, two modern leather chairs, bookcase & art on the wall. A pleasant room to relax in. The kitchen has everything you need to cook a meal, clean up after, coffee provided & some spices. The primary bedroom has a queen sized bed, extremely comfortable and quiet (farthest away from the street). There is a window that provides fresh air & ample light. The 2nd bedroom has a single bed with a window that is also very quiet & bright. The bathroom is large, has a walk-in shower (no soap or shampoo provided), large sink with small counter, a clothes washer & drying rack. The location of the apartment is fantastic as it’s close to the main tourist areas. There are numerous restaurants to choose from. The apartment is extremely secure & the area feels safe. It is about 15 minute walk from the train station. We highly recommend and would come back.
