Good homely accommodation, no frills but comfortable

Decor was a little scruffy but not an issue

This is such a lovely place to stay in Glasgow. Perfect access for festivals in the park. A whole house to yourself with hot water working, comfy beds and even some nice towels prepared by the host. I really liked that the house was fully cleaned before. The floor was still shiny from being mopped which shows they did take cleaning serious before we arrived. The Host was also really nice and friendly when we asked him to give us the code and told him we arrived, as well as when we left. 10/10

The only thing was that it was not really explained to us how to use the heating system and it did get a bit cold at night. However, nothing too discomforting because the blankets and the bed was really nice to sleep in and overall the property felt really safe. If I was to be picky, I will also say that it was quite difficult to lock the door because the handle was not working properly but with a bit of patience it worked just fine. And if you want to go just make sure you go to Hardgate GARDENS, not other street as all the streets around are called Hardgate and can get confusing as we even ended up knocking at the wrong door. haha

Clean and tidy basic accomodation. Good to have a parking spot and washing machine was a bonus.

We only sleep there and didn’t use kitchen etc. all okay. The shower was within the bath which may be a problem with people with mobility issues.

By and large, I enjoyed my stay at this property. The location is close by the Queen Elizabeth Medical Centre in an attractive pocket of suburban streets. For those relying on public transport, the 77 provides a regular service from Buchanan Bus Station, third stop after crossing the river; the same bus service usefully continues to Glasgow Airport. There is a very good Lidl 15 minutes walk away, and a mini M & S even closer in the main hospital building one bus stop before the property. Excellent wifi. Comfortable lounge area with a functional dining table. Well-stocked kitchen. Nice looking out of the kitchen and bedroom windows onto a suburban lawn/garden. Convenient access to property through a combination key safe near the front door.

The principal issue was that the four-element electric stove top was not working - I only discovered this after purchasing a fair amount of food - self-catering had been a major reason for choosing this property over standard hotel rooms with no cooking facilities. Fortunately, the oven component does work, and there is a microwave, so I was able to work out alternative ways to cook most of my purchases. In an exchange of messages, the owner indicated that 'they work' and 'not had any issues with them'. Basically, all four elements generated the vaguest amount of heat - after one hour of 'cooking' diced chicken, the meat had turned a milky grey on parts of each piece. After accepting the owner's comment that he couldn't check on the stovetop as he was about to go to work, I happily agreed to him popping round at a specific time the following day. However, he didn't turn up, nor did he respond to my follow-up message after the scheduled time hoping to see him soon.
